Day 06 - A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day
I had a very hard time with this one. I feel like I have a really good life. I am not really caught up on the latest celebrities and I am sure I would NOT want to trade places with anyone famous for even ONE day.
As of late I have been consumed with finding a Long Term Care Facility for my mother-in-law. I often wonder what it must be like for her...She has Huntington's Disease, She is 72 years old and walks with a walker. She raised 9 children and was married for 51 years before dad passed away over 5 years ago. In the last almost 4 years she has been living with her kids. After living with 4 of her kids it was decided that the best thing for mom is to move her somewhere were she is safe and can be cared for.
I wonder what she must be thinking. I wonder what it is like to live with such a wicked disease. I wish I could know just some of the memories she has. Her children when they were little. What she thought when she met and married my Father-in-Law. How it must feel to have a faith so strong even after all she has been through. Just ask her you say? Well, I wish I had. The HD has taken away a lot of mom's ability to speak more than two or three words at a time. If you don't hear her the first time she has a very hard time repeating it. Her mind is all there for now but her muscles are failing her.
This is my mother-in-law Shirley, I would like to trade places with her for just one day.
