Hi all
Yesterday, our wedding anniversary, went great.
Hubby enjoyed the attention and the food of course lol.
Onto today, which was busy again, morning gym, then afternoon physio...which was darn painful! She has scheduled me for more frequent visits to try and get my neck and shoulder right.
Then this evening was boot camp and I was the first to weigh in for tonights session and came in at over 5 pounds down from last week, which meant 3.55%!!!
It was very close as the second place person was at 3.51%, however the "competition" is not just our class, but along with Mondays two classes too, but we still finished first and second..ME the Biggest Loser of the week!!
We have suggested, that although it is nice to be "individuals", that it might give others more incentive if we made it a team effort....our class was also the biggest class losers so we will see what happens next week.
Was a really good workout this evening, I do love a class atmosphere, circuits of step-ups, tricep dips, push-ups, chest presses on the ball and squat thrusts.
Then outside to the tires!
Not just stepping through them, but carrying tires too, hard dirty work (it was raining earlier) but FUN!
Then back inside for some super-sets, tricep dips, followed straight away by squat thrusts, then deadlifts, and bent over rows, then lateral raises and shoulder presses.
Next week we are going to move on and start trying out assisted pull-ups...something I've always wanted to do!!!
The trainer and my partner tried to demonstrate, but my partner couldn't do it.
So I volunteered and made it, even if it was assisted and only one rep lol, can't wait to do it for real!
Oh and our sauna arrived today too!
So used that this evening after bootcamp and it felt great!
Hubby and I will be using it every day..I only hope that it will ease his leg muscles as they are not getting any better and he has stopped physio for now until he has seen his back surgeon for his follow up (surgery was August 09) on the 25th. So fingers crossed it will help him a little.
So he has no excuse now not to go to the gym, no delivery to wait for hehe.
Best wishes to all....whatever you do, never give up!

Evening all
After a very relaxing weekend, it was back to normal on Monday.
Went to the gym by myself as hubby wanted to stay in and wait for a delivery.
I have ordered an Infrared Sauna in the hopes it will help his leg muscles as the small hand held one seems to help, I figured well why not put your whole body into one...and I'll get to use it too!
I said it may not even come till the end of the week, or even next week...he just looked at me and smirked lol, I think he wasn't really up for the gym.
He did however come today and admitted he missed going yesterday.
Another 1.6 pounds lost since the weekend, making a total of 8.2 pounds in 9 days. I feel GREAT!
Tomorrow is out 20th wedding anniversary and I'm planning surf n turf with red ~ Red would be fruit snacks for the day - apple and strawberry, eaten at seperate times, then meals I'm planning Cajun spiced boiled shrimp on bed of Romaine spritzed with garlic sea salt and juice of 1 lemon for lunch, then dinner will be sirloin steak with roasted garlic tomotoes.. So should fit in well with my HCG meal plan.
Only 5 pounds to go to get back to my lowest "smokers weight" of 137 from August 09, anything after that is a bonus!
Hope you are doing well, whatever plan you are following.

Slow down. Kick Back. Relax
That was my weekend, I did nothing at all, and it felt great!
I even had a 90 minute nap this afternoon (Sunday)
Today is 10/10/10 which is supposed to be lucky/perfect
and I would go as far to say my day was perfect.
It could only have been better if I was doing this
Onto my first weeks results on the HCG Protocol and I am very pleased with the progress made! Obviously it IS low calorie, so one would expect to lose weight, however by using HCG I have felt no hunger at all, and when I do eat I feel full!
OK, I did over do it a bit on the exercise front, and had a small gain, but that almost disappeared the following day.
10/04 R1P2D1 - 150.4 (VLCD1)
10/05 R1P2D2 - 147.2 (-3.2)
10/06 R1P2D3 - 145.6 (-1.6)
10/07 R1P2D4 - 144.4 (-1.2)
10/08 R1P2D5 - 143.6 (-0.8)
10/09 R1P2D6 - 144.8 (+1.2)
10/10 R1P2D7 - 143.8 (-1.0)
Total Lost from VLCD1 -6.6lbs
I can't remember ever losing this much in one week, even when I was 200+
I will be happy if I continue to lose 0.5 a day, not expecting to do the same next week....but who knows.
130's here I come (Again lol)
Have a good week everyone!

Belling the Cat - a fable by Aesop
The Mice once called a meeting to decide on a plan to free themselves of their enemy, the Cat. At least they wished to find some way of knowing when she was coming, so they might have time to run away. Indeed, something had to be done, for they lived in such constant fear of her claws that they hardly dared stir from their dens by night or day.
Many plans were discussed, but none of them was thought good enough.
At last a very young Mouse got up and said:
"I have a plan that seems very simple, but I know it will be successful.
All we have to do is to hang a bell about the Cat's neck.
When we hear the bell ringing we will know immediately that our enemy is coming."
All the Mice were much surprised that they had not thought of such a plan before. But in the midst of the rejoicing over their good fortune, an old Mouse arose and said:
"I will say that the plan of the young Mouse is very good.
But let me ask one question: Who will bell the Cat?"
Moral: It is one thing to say that something should be done,
but quite a different matter to do it.
