Is there something wrong with me? lol
I have never had those Monday Blues, I look forward to Monday as that is my start of the week after my lazy/do nothing Sundays.
Surprisingly the gym has quietened down, a couple weeks ago Mondays were quite busy, but if I leave going there till just after 11am it is almost empty, just myself and another woman upstairs and a guy downstairs and the music level was perfect (could hardly hear it!).
I pushed myself a little more again today, and will for the rest of the week as I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will get back into the 140s again by next Monday (my birthday) and also the day of my reassessment/fitness levels.
After the gym needed to go shopping as the freezer and fridge were looking a bit empty.
The last 3 times I went to Tescos they were out of chicken breasts, so I headed straight for that aisle and saw they did not have many, just 6 bags, 12 kilos, so I bought the lot.
I also bought 5 of their ready roasted chickens that had been reduced to half price and 4 packs of turkey ham....yes I will be sprouting feathers soon!
I can not help it, I love chicken and eggs lol.

Yesterday I said my goal today was to beat my 5k time on the rower of 29:15
well not only did I beat it, I smashed it......27:34!!! GO ME
I stared off with a 10 minute warm up on the treadmill, then got on the rower.
Set it at level 10 and off I went.
I kept up an even pace and saw the timer say 28 something, then next thing it was saying under 28...I thought no way.. can I do it?
I just kept going and finished!
After that I was chuffed, and got on the bike, but only lasted 5 minutes lol.
So down onto the elliptical for 15 minutes and that ws my session for the day at the gym.
Looking forward to tomorrow and the usual bootsale bargain hunting, hope I find some more nice workout clothes, and maybe a dress or two and some sandals.

Well the wind really got up today on the east coast of the UK, garden chairs blown to the bottom of the garden, plants up-rooted, bit of rain, sunshine, what a mix!
Went to the gym this morning and I am not sure if what I said yesterday had any bearing, or because it was a different couple guys on, but the music level was much better.
I know they say that the right type of music can get some people pumped up but that does not mean the level has to be so high.
I changed my routine today and did 30 minute intervals on the bike...good thing I wore my padded bike shorts!!!! WOW I loved it though, so might give that another go tomorrow.
Hopefully it will not be as muggy inside the gym I think the air-con is not set right or was not on..either way, it did not feel comfortable....not that you are supposed to feel comfortable when working out but you know what I mean....right? lol
Going to see if I can break my time on the rower, so far my best is 5k in 29mins 15 secs, so I want to get under 29 minutes, so I will have to do that before the bike!

I am now into the start of the 6th week at the gym and have only missed 3 scheduled workout days in the previous 5 weeks, so I am pretty pleased with myself there.
The scale seems to be playing along the past 2 weeks, so hopefully I can get under 150 by my birthday in 12 days time. Not quite the 140 or under I was hoping for, but life gets in the way sometimes when you least expect it to.
I find I am getting fitter each time I go, setting myself time distances to beat on the rower and loving the interval program on the bike.
I feel better about myself, love shopping again for new workout clothes and also everyday wear, new dresses, tops, skirts etc.
On the lookout for nice sandals now!
Looking forward to the next summer 5% challenge that starts on Saturday, keep that motivation going!
