what a mess!

Saturday, August 30, 2014

Can't believe where I've gotten to with my eating! This past week I've seriously cut down from what I was doing during the "stress month from hell"! BUT still OVER my calories used. How many calories was I really taking in?!?!?!

Oh well, here now. Step down the calories yet again, and pick up the pace on what I'm using is the only solution.

This one was no steps forward and 2 giant steps back.

Even though my main goal is my fitness: range of motion and strength, no doubt I really really want to be below 200 lbs again!

Its Hard!

Wednesday, August 27, 2014

Just remembering to keep up my SP posts, my eating, my spinning the wheel, my journal. How easy it is to get out of the habit!

Right now, am working those things. Letting my eating come down gradually. Eating like a pig for the last month, we all know how cranky and hungry one gets when suddenly you're eating 1/2 that much food! with the journal and tracking, I'll gradually bring it down so I remain comfortable. At the same time, I'm upping my calories used! Not that I just sat on the couch and ate bonbons for the last month, but adding extra attention to my core and resistance workouts.

and if anyone tells you that gardening isn't work, send them over here and see how they feel after an hour working my garden!

I heard a quote lately that I like:

Losing weight is hard
Maintaining weight is hard
Staying overweight is hard
Choose your hard.

You'll get there!

I'm back

Monday, August 25, 2014

At least I hope so! What a month it has been. Stress, stress, and more stress. and like many of the people here at SP, I'm a stress eater! Haven't gotten on the scale to see what its done to my planning, but it doesn't matter. Getting back on track.

As to the good things that have happened:
finally finished the sweater that I've been knitting for two months. Not exactly as I was envisioning, but looks good anyway

now working on a pair of socks, and then on to finish the afghan I started last winter.

Been gardening. Added a new water butt, new composter, and have started creating an outdoor kitchen. Late for this season, but will be there for the future. Seeds started, seedlings planted, while old plants have been pulled up and into the composter.

Got up and put in some exercise time this morning, something I've been missing for awhile.

The not so good stuff we'll leave in the past. There will be some ramifications and effects that will be felt in the future, but they are as they are.

What is important now is to get back on track, get back into the groove of caring for myself so I can make the rest of my life the BEST of my life!

where does the time go?

Saturday, August 02, 2014

blogged last on the 30th, but discovered I'd not recorded my mileage for nearly 2 weeks! Thankfully the activity tracker keeps posting my steps and mileage, but I'm just getting lost in the swirl of craziness around here.

Still, a pound down for July - not bad if you knew what I've been eating!

lost time

Wednesday, July 30, 2014

somehow managed not to post in my journal for almost a week! the SP activity tracker kept reporting of course, except for the day when I had it off after getting into the shower with it! but it did keep working. and had posted my food for some of those days too. thought it had only been a day or two, so was surprised when I opened my journal and seen how long it had been! Wow how time flies when you are having fun!!
