make awesome plain yogurt. thick, rich, not too tangy, organic, no artificial anything. But sometimes we get tired of yogurt! and when you make it, you tend to end up with a lot all at once.

A while back found some yogurt strainers at a garage sale (and I mean over a year ago!) and have never used them. So this morning one pint of yogurt is now out there straining to be yogurt cheese!! Just offering more variety into my meals without added butter!!

this came about as I was looking for a filling, low cal breakfast after my workout, as lunch time is corned beef, boiled potatoes and Bok Choy w/cooked carrots.

Week one

According to my food/exercise journal, have used 3500 calories more than I consumed this week.

That should equal a ONE pound weight loss. and under most circumstances, that would be just fine, equaling 4 lbs a month.


The scale this morning says FIVE POUNDS!!!!

what a day it has been

Woke up this morning at 3am in pain cause my right hip was out of joint. Endured until everyone else was up and then took anti-inflammatory to get inflammation down so I could work on putting it back. That nixed cardio exercise!

Then, finally checked why there was no tracking and my SP tracker was gone! Did find it, had fallen off in bed so according to SP, today was a nothing day.

Sure was

tomorrow will be better

    Don't you just hate when that happens. I hope your hip feels better and you take it easy. Perhaps you can do some upper body strength training as opposed to the cardio today.

had posted breakfast and lunch. When I went to post dinner, lunch had disappeared! Reposted it. Then found the tuna I'd posted for dinner didn't show up so reposted it.

Tonight, went to finish off my postings and find this HUGE # of calories cause both sets of postings are there!!

So when all was evened out, and done correctly, my food percentages were almost spot on!

Protein 20% (20%)
fats 35% (30%)
carbs 45% (50%)
