hump day?

This has been more like hump week so far! Oh well, still moving, though not at a high pace, and keeping the food intake down in compensation. Its a phase and will pass. Just have to be strong and go with it so I can come out the otherside still moving forward.


I do know my life is a bed of roses; beautiful, sweet smelling, with just the occassional thorn prick - compared to most. This is just one of those thorn pricks

tired is not the word. Really had to push today, like yesterday, just to do a mild, low level, WATP

    emoticon I did 12,000 yesterday. Today my legs feel exhausted. It will be a light workout day for me too.

I'm with you today. I have fibromyalgia and ever since a storm front came in last Thursday evening every day since has been a struggle. Lack of sleep every night because of the pain. Taking sleeping pills to go to sleep. This morning I felt so tired and sore and didn't want to get out of bed. I started with doing some in bed stretches until I got to the ones that needed to stand up and use a wall for. Then I did those. After breakfast I figured I was up and might as well work at doing a couple of Niclole's short 15 min. video's. I managed to do one before my body said enough. I went back to bed and slept for a couple of hours and woke up still feeling sore but no longer tired. While in bed I did 120 twist cruchies and then got up and did some lunges and more standing stretches. Some days you just have to push through the fatigue even when you don't feel up to it.

Yes, thankfully that weekend is OVER! What a stressfull weekend it was. Way too much - lack of sleep, bad news, too much to do. Our friend Rose, who just got out of rehab from having a stroke is back in the hospital because her hip - replaced a couple of years ago - is out of position. She's been in the hospital and rehab for the stroke for about a month and NO ONE NOTICED?!?!?!

Our friend Steve is over 400 lbs and recently found out his blood pressure is so high its amazing he's still walking around. Actually, he hobbles more than walks and has had a couple of bad falls this past year. Well, the high blood pressure scared him, PLUS he lost a couple of job opportunities due to his weight and poor physical condition, so gave him so easy WATP videos and some resistance bands so he can begin. Yes, did introduce him to SP, but he's not ready for that for some reason, but is finally using the food journal I gave him for Chrismas AND the pedometer I gave him 3 years ago.

So back to me? Did get some garden work done - Saturday turning the soil in my main beds. Sunday moved in more dirt and turned that too. Then added soil ammendments to all the beds and pots. That required hand watering with non-chlorinated water.

and of course, did some WATP too.

Seeing by my food reports - now that I've finally started tracking food on SP - that my fat levels are still too high, protein too low and my calorie consumption is sneaking back up. Its still lower than the amount of calories I use each day, but not enough so if I want to make my birthday goal of being below 200 lbs.

and now its back to work

weekend update

Realized this morning, despite my WATP and kick boxing, am not really doing enough to BUILD muscle, so this morning was 20 minutes with the resistance bands working upper and lower body. My biceps are HUGE compared to where they were 2 months ago, but not that many years ago had arms that were toned more than Angelina Jolie's Tomb Raider character!

Have to take to heart that it is not DURATION of my exercise, as much as quality of it. Really can make do with a strong mile of WATP and some minutes with weights/resistance, with the occassional longer time with one or the other.

All about balance - which I wish I had. Fell over doing a lunge the other morning

Last night a "friend" called after we'd gone to sleep and was a bit in his cups - For that and other reasons, it ended up being a very disturbing interruption to our sleep. NOT one to laugh off.

So this morning finds both DH and I exhausted. No big WATP moments, no Kick box. Just walked in place for 45 minutes - plodded would describe the workout best. Still kept moving and know that overall feel better for it.

But would rather not start a day this way.
