Summer is great!
I love all the fresh fruit and vegetables that are so good this time of the year.
I have really been taking advantage of the good prices at my grocery store. I have also had some locally grown veggies as well.
Blueberries are a special favorite of mine. I love topping off my cereal with them every morning.
And the tomatoes, and squash have been awesome as well as the nectarines, bing cherries, and strawberries.
Are you getting your fruits and veggies?

I am usually on my computer every evening after dinner. I am not really able to spend much time on the computer during the day.
A lot of evenings it takes me almost 4 hours to go through regular email, all the spark emails, and log my food and exercise. And there are times I don't have that much time to spend on my computer. So, the emails build up.
I love Spark and all the support here and I do enjoy being able to help other members. I guess what I am saying is, does anyone else feel guilty when they aren't able to devote as much time as they would like to it?
I want to be able to respond to every email I get from my Spark Teams but sometimes that just isn't possible.
I just want to balance being productive here but also being able enjoy time with family and keep up with my other responsibilities I have here at home.
Does anyone else wrestle with this challenge? And if so, how do you handle it?
Thanks for any tips you can offer.

I had a little bit of a scare with one of my cats this weekend. He (Angus) has gastrointestinal problems which he takes medication for. He also has to be on a special food. I also have another cat that has to be on a different special food. But, they aren't supposed to eat each others food because it's not good for them to do so.
Well, Angus, has apparently been sneaking into Phoenix's food and it caused a problem. Before he was initially diagnosed with this, he got really sick and had to be hospitalized for quite a while. That's when we found out he needed to be on a special limited ingredient diet because his stomach couldn't handle regular food.
Anyway, I had to drop him off this morning at my Vets and I was really worried he was going to have to be hospitalized again.
But, the vet said it was just a flare up from him eating my other cat's food. She checked him over, gave him a shot and told me I can't let him eat for 24 hours.
I am so relieved he is ok. This cat has been through so much in his fairly short life and he is just the happiest, most loving cat I have ever had.
So, now that I know he is ok, I feel so much better.

The past couple of weeks I have been wrestling with my motivation.
I am not sure what is going on, but I have kind of lost my momentum. I am still exercising and trying to eat healthy but I seem to have to push myself more than normal to get my workouts in. I know I have been feeling a little rundown and more tired than usual lately.
I will work through this, but I want to figure out what is causing this to happen. I am doing quite a bit of walking at work, sometimes getting in 10,000 steps in 4 hours. I do think that makes it a little harder to do an hour of cardio, especially on the days I have both cardio and strength to do after work.
I am still hitting quite a bit over what my Fitness tracker has allotted me, so I am looking at maybe going to 4 days of cardio instead of 5 to see what happens.
Any suggestions would really be appreciated.

Wow, it's hard to believe that summer is winding down. It will only be a couple of weeks before school starts back up here.
At the beginning of the summer I had a mental list of everything I wanted to accomplish . I thought I would have more free time to get those things done. With the kids out of school I thought my day would be a little less regimented. Boy, was I wrong.
I did get some of the things on my list done, but nothing near what I had hoped for. And in case you haven't guessed by now, I am one of those who makes a daily list and I tend to feel disapppointed if I don't get my daily list completed.
But, as the summer wanes away, I guess I will have to keep repeating this mantra, which my Mom would say "don't worry, it will be there tomorrow".
Ok, I know I will never be Suzy Homemaker and that's alright. Life is too short to spend it tethered to a list.
Take time to live, laugh, play. And let go!
