I seem to be moving toward depression.

Monday, September 19, 2011

I hope it is not because of the fall setting in that I am feeling depression setting in or it is going to be a long winter!! I am going to see if I can pop myself out of it tomorrow. Tomorrow is a new day! Things can definitely change the next day and I will get myself hopefully ready to have a fun and happy day tomorrow! I do think I can!

EXERCISE is my Anti-Depressant! Even when I don't want to do it, I make myself do it anyway and it seriously helps. I hope you fight the funk! Best of Luck! emoticon

I was feeling quite down yesterday and this morning, just couldn't cope with the day today. Then I went on my 6 mile bike ride and feel great. Not OVERLY great, just doable, which is far better than I was when I rolled out of bed. Also started my morning off with stretching today for the first time, and it was really great. Hope you feel better, I know how that depression bug can hit. But thank God we have SP to help us sort it all out. Good luck, have a great week.

Walking is a good anti-depressant!! But just hang in there. You will be ok.

emoticon Sending thoughts and prayers your way. Try not to let the depression get hold of you, it's hard to pull out of some times, just give it your best. Any little thing you can do in a positive light can be a huge help. Just being grateful for something small like a singing bird can often give me a much needed lift. emoticon

One of the biggest depression fighters is exercise. And it doesn't have to be a dull old gym. Think of something you enjoy doing that will get you moving, like dancing, or something like that. I am certainly dreading winter coming, but I have been getting out and taking fitness classes for the first time ever and having a ball! I usually exercise indoors to DVD's due to lack of transportation. But I qualified for a free card access to all the city's fitness facilities and am using my scooter to get out to the two closest ones. Unfortunately, it runs on gel batteries which can't take the kind of cold we get here and can't traction in snow, so I can't use it in the winter :(( But the Zumba classes are quite fun and low impact, easier for someone to get into if you are not that fit. I just LOVE working out to music, sure gets the blood pumping and those feel good endorphins flowing!
If all else fails, crank up your music and just boogie until you drop!! t even makes household chores go faster lol.
Make the effort, its worth it!

I won 20 spark points on the first spin and on the bonus spin I won 100 spark goodie points. i'm starting to think today might be a good day to buy a lottery ticket or go to the casino! I never win many points!!

emoticon Great spins, and you got in a walk! Cooper and I did a mile this morning, but my niece is taking him for his evening walk, so I might go spend some time on the stationary bike while they are out. He likes to try and lick the pedals while they are spinning, so I don't usually do it when he is around, as I am afraid I will give him a concussion! Have a great week!

Not using the scale.

Saturday, September 17, 2011

I have decided to not use the scale anymore for quite awhile since it only depresses me. I will just eat healthy and will go by how my clothes fit to determine if I have lost weight. I usually get depressed if I feel I have been doing so good and then I get on the scale and it doesn't tell me good news. No news is good news for me in this regard.

Weighing once a week can be too much. Some experts say you should weight once a month. I'm planning to do that this time. Sometimes due to exercise or a later than normal meal your weight can fluctuate by a pound and when you've been doing well it can set you back.

I think weighing less biweekly or monthly is a great way to go! Hang in there-you can do it. emoticon

Do what is best for you. Don't forget to measure yourself!!! Sometimes you will see the results there first.

Do what works for you and using your clothes as a guideline is great!
Good work!

Good idea to put aside something that depresses you. I rarely weigh myself and go by how I feel and how my clothes fit.

Have a great rest of the weekend.

Wednesday, September 14, 2011

Today I feel like I am somewhere else and not into this weight loss thing.
I feel like I am losing steam but am hoping I can get things back on track tomorrow.
