good for you getting the exercise in... subway has a lot of good things from which to choose - they have 6-7 solid choices that do little harm!
have you used the food tracker? that is a quick and easy way to get a handle on what you are eating and when.. the detailed tracker, not the 'quick tracker'. I don't do it all the time any more but I do any time I have a weight loss to readjust what I am eating to stay within the guidelines.
Keep the faith - the changes take time to become habit.. make small goals for yourself and reward yourself when you reach them

Yay for doing the exercise! Sometimes that is soo hard.
As for the food--make sure you write it all down and also, try to choose some better options, as Princess_Twisty said. Maybe go without the cheese, or switch the type of dressing you put on your sandwhiches.

You can do it! =]

Good work on the exercise front!
Now, put the Subway down, step away slowly...Nah, Subway can be a good, nutritious option - but you have to make it that way! Choose a healthier option (even if it's just one at first) - like, try honey-mustard instead of the ranch dressing. Or skip the cheese. Eventually, you might want to order a six-inch instead of a footlong...but that might not happen at first!
It all takes time, but the good thing about the food tracker is that now you know what's throwing you off so you can take steps to make it better (i.e. healthier)!
You can do it!

Fast Food Facts!.. very interesting!

Monday, March 14, 2011

-When you love fast food, and you quit eating it you start to feel irritable, anxious, and depressed because your going through a physical withdrawal!

-Much of the flavor and texture enhancing ingredients in fast food have not been tested!

-Not only is fast food unhealthy but it can make you a addict too! When you put the fat and sugar together its more then 1+1, it starts a big addiction response, its almost as if you were taking 2 drugs at once!

-Both fat and sugar evoke brain chemicals called beta-endorphin and dopamine, which are also activated by heroin and cocaine !!

I honeslty didnt realize how serious fast food can be!.. it DOES make you a addict!.. crazy!

I guess the best they have right now is to become a mutual friend with someone and see their postings in the feed... or posting to them when you see that they are online. many of the teams have daily chat threads (the one on your class team page is Anything Goes)..
If you really want a chat bar, or instant messenger feature go to the main message boards and under the help section there's a technical section - make the suggestion! the good folks at SP are always open to suggestions

I was thinking the same thing the other day! You can see when people are online, but you can't really contact them. A chat bar would be fabulous!

You could try going over to the SparkPeople Cafe under Community --- Message Boards. I think there's pretty much always people on there!

We had one before on trial, but it was hardly used and slowed down a lot of members connection.

OOohhhh -- that would be awesome! (or maybe creepy . . . I'm not sure!) But it would be cool to chat with those who inspire you.

Good Info...

Sunday, March 13, 2011

Lets just say you eat good all week, So whats the harm in trading that turkey burger for a cheese burger on Friday night? Well you can if you want, no ones stopping you!, BUT its gunna be tough to get back on track! it proves that high saturated fats impares your good judgement for up to 3 days! So all its doing is making it harder on you!
