Its been 3months sense me and my ex broke up! At first it was kind of hard.. but must i tell you.. im THANKFUL that the lord ended are relationship. I had no trust in him, and he was doing things behind my back. Even though we are not together.. can you please pray for him?.. His name is josh.. he found another girl which im OK with.. but the sad thing is, is they have been only dating for 2 months, shes preggo and their engaged hes basically a 23 year old man stuck inside a 15 yr olds body...enough about him..

So, sense these past 3 months.. i have been doing me monday-sunday!! Im doing AMAZING! Finally down 45 pounds.. im slowly getting into the bible, trying to pray every day, saving money, still eating right (even though i might break once ina while.. i get right back up and dust my shoulders off),working out 7 days of the week, still working 2 jobs, i have been sober for 7months! Im taking care of my life and people can notice alot of changes in me! From my weight to my happiness! Its been 2 weeks sense i have been talking to a guy i went to high school with!! The funny thing is.. we dated for a week in HS.. I dont even remember why we broke up..Alot has changed ever sense then.. Hes became christian! Hes dedicated to god! Someone i have been praying for! Iv always attracted the WRONG men!! I talked to him the other night on the phone and i loved how peaceful his spirit was!!.. I still want to do myself i really dont want a relationship right now.. but im willing to be his friend.. and see where it might take us in the future! You never know what god has planned ;)

I got a monthly subscription to Oxygen magazine! I just got my Oct. one in the mail today.. I was checking it out and came across something that made me feel SOO much better myself. And IM SURE it will make you feel better to!!

"Why you NEED to cheat!" (sounds better already huh?)

Taking a break can actually help you in the long run..Their was scientific evidence that relazing the rules occasionally can improve your chances of staying fit and healthy for life. Researches at University Toronto did a study on restrained and unrestrained eaters.. Both were deprived of chocolate for 7 days. At the end of the test period, the restrained eaters NOT ONLY reported more intense cravings then the unrestrained.. but also consumed MORE chocolate when the restriction was lifted!

The SAME research team fed the restrained and unrestrained a piece of pizza followed by and unlimited amount of chocolate chip cookies "which they were asked to to sample for taste" The restrained ate more cookies then the unrestrained!

Im telling you what the magazine is telling me! I thought it was VERY interesting! And it makes me feel better about myself.. Because i occasionally make bad decisions.. and i always thought im doing horrible when in all reality im doing PERFECT!..

    I have to agree - For me when I tell myself I "can't" have something, that's exactly what I want! A little rebellion there I guess, I've always been that way. So now, I don't "do without" I just make suggested limitations to myself and if I have something, then so be it. I refuse to feel "guilty" over a food. Maybe I think I made a poor choice, but guilt isn't a word that's connected to food for me. Not any more - nor do I use food as a reward either.

What one puts in their mouth is a "choice" - good or bad, it's still a choice. I sometimes make bad choices, either inadvertently or consciously... it's still a choice.

    Thanks for sharing that info. I believe it but the guilt over bad choices still haunts sometimes. I read an article about cutting you calories every other day makes you feel less deprived and supposedly you lose more weight.

    agree . ive tried many times to fully restrict my diet and i always found my self going on a binge.
ive learned ( still learning ) that its okay to have a little bit of bad witb a lot of good. your going to have bad days and bad weeks ur human and as long as you continue movig forward and make good choices .. you can enjoy both worlds

So, last weekend i did HORRIBLY! And did GREAT ALL week! Tomorrow im going out to eat with my dad.. i havent seen him in 6 months.. he wants to get pizza! But at the pizza place theirs hoagies.. should i split a medium pizza with him or get a hoagie!?

    I vote for pizza. Fill up on salad first and just have a little. Plus, it's only one day. If you don't overdo it on portions, you should be fine. Stay on track for the rest of the week and don'r fret! Take an extra walk if it makes you feel better.

    Or even combine the two excellent suggestions above. Get a side salad with as much protein on it as you can and then have just the toppings on the pizza. Don't make a big deal about it but if Dad bugs you about not eating the bread tell him that lately it's been making you feel crummy - which is kinda the truth, no?

    Get a salad to go with the pizza. Before you go check out the menu on the web. That will help you decide.

How about telling your dad that pizza is not on your menu for the weekend and could you go someplace like Applebee's where they have a 500-calorie meal or Ruby Tuesdays where you can check out their menu options before you go (they have some decent choices, but forget about the burgers). Perkins has a meal maker program on their page that lets you put together items from their menu and calculate the calories.

    Share the pizza with your Dad, since that is what he wants. Then eat all the toppings off your piece and throw away the crust! You might even ask the place to add extra topping to the pizza! emoticon

So, Oct. 25th is my weigh in to see if i get my shoes or not! Im NERVOUS! I lost 7 pounds b4 my horrible weekend.. if you dont know what im talking about read my *Did Horribly this weekend* Blog!! I dont even wanna know how much i gained that weekend!! Anyways.. ever sense monday i have been on point! i give myself SO much credit!! I feel great but lets see what the scale says oct. 25th!     I set a goal of losing 15 pounds by my 10th wedding anniversary and missed it by 1 pound....I hit the goal a week later. I wasn't REALLY excited that I missed my goal, but I've made it and now on to the next 15. You can do it!!!

Well today is day 3 of eating good and working out! Back on track sense my horrible weekend!! Feeling much better! Im grabbin it by the hand and NOT letting go! I would rather feel happiness rather then regret!
