Christmas baking

Well started with the baking, Stollens with cranberries and marzipan. I tend to nibble things as I cook, so I had an avocado before I started. High in calories but just really good for you, and filling. I am going ot give most of my baking away to freinds and neighbours, and will put a bit aside for Christmas too. Hopefully if I keep it out of sight I wont be so tempted to eat half a Stollen in one sitting. Well in theory anyway emoticon emoticon

    I have a box of brownies in the cupboard that keeps calling out my name. Right now I don't feel "sober" enough to attempt to make them...regardless of who I give them too.
I have a thrill just licking the bowl. Take care...

    Belinda and Gailruu, I baked 6 large stollens, and the looks on friend and neighbours faces when i presented them all wrapped and Christmassy; (well, priceless) ... bad news is, somehow, (accidentally?) i have eaten an entire stollen myself. emoticon this is not good, i know, but clearly baking is a major danger area for me.. good thing tomorrow is a new day

    Unfortunately, or maybe luckily, I have never liked baking, but I always admire people who do take the time to make those wonderful home made gifts for others.
It keeps the true spirit of the holiday alive.
That was a good idea you had to eat something healthy before you started.

    I have not done any baking so far since the carb cravings were getting the best of me. I like to bake for friends and neighbors. I think I will do some half batches of cookies so I don't have a lot of them around the house.

to get the hang of this a little bit. i love the meal plans, and am managing to stick to them. i have lost two pounds, and am walking a lot as usual, just not really sure how to record that yet. also starting to get the spark points idea. good fun, and a great site.

    I joined SP.Com on Dec. 4, so I am a newbie too. My daughter joined right before me & I am counting on her show me the ropes. I am somewhat technically challenged. I am hoping that the meal plans will help me with my grocery lists. If I HAVE the right food IN the house, it is so much easier to stay on task & follow a plan. Maybe we Spark people can help each other...
