Dame

Tuesday, September 13, 2011

This is a routine I modified from someone else. The song is "Dame". It has worked well in all my classes.... Please be kind or no comment at all. This is not live just in my basement so there is a different sort of energy. I know there's one opps but I didn't feel like re-doing it.

Thanks for sharing L3L! Your version is more interesting than the one I adapted. Your cueing is especially helpful. One thing I've learned I do wrong in this song is rush it. It's a nice song to do after a high energy song and I need to remember to slow down.

And look how cute you are in your Zumba pink!

Veggie Garden 2011

Monday, September 05, 2011

Just wanted to post a picture of some of the veggies I've been growing in my garden.

We're having the string beans, tomatoes and cucumbers tonight. YUM!

We've only gotten a few tomatoes and some basil. My squash died, the beans never produced. The weather just killed it.

Beautiful - especially the eggplant. I can't get enough tomatoes myself. My garden did very poorly this year.

Glad yours did better. Enjoy!

My Summer Garden 2010

Saturday, July 10, 2010

I've been writing lots about my garden lately, so I thought I'd write a quick blog as well.

I love home grown produce. Every year I try to grow at least tomatoes but as time has gone on, I've added to my selection. I'm up 6 different items; Yellow Squash, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Strawberries, Peppers and String Beans.

I have 6 different spices as well. This year I decided to make them inside plants. I keep the pots in the kitchen so they are handy for cooking. I really think they make a BIG difference in the taste of meals.

Does anyone else have a garden? How is your produce going? And what have you planted?

My garden is doing well and we are now starting enjoy the labor of my hands. LOL

Sounds fabulous!! We just started an herb and veggie garden (porch) this year too. I LOVE it! I'm a little obsessed with it right now :) It is so fun using my own stuff in food rather than out of a jar.. and it tastes SO much better. emoticon emoticon emoticon

We planted a small garden this year and enjoyed fresh green beans with supper last night. What a treat! Now I'm going to want to plant them every year. emoticon

I planted a raised bed garden this year. The soil in my area is just terrible. I planted green beans (which are just awesome!), carrots, spinach (which unfortunately didn't make it), cucumbers which are growing into the shape of eggplants..lol, garlic, and cherry tomatoes. I planted 2 potato plants outside of my raised bed. I probably should have added something to the soil before I planted them, so they weren't so plentiful, but I did get 7 small potatoes.. yay! lol. My cherry tomatoes which are in pots aren't doing so well, but I do have a few still ripening and a few more flowers on there so we'll see. I have to admit, nothing beats the taste of fresh green beans! I'm addicted!
