Is there a thing as eating too much fruit, and if so what is considered too much fruit? Any comments?

I do not know if you can eat too much fruit and vegetables. I know I do not eat enough (vegetables for sure) Check under nutrition,there are some good articles to read there. Maybe post on one of the boards and get more feedback?? Report Inappropriate Comment

I feel so fat and UN motivated this week, i'm not sure what it is but i just really feel like giving up.. I have been so bad with Calories and i just really feel like i have lost this battle..

Every day is a new one. First things first. Forgive yourself. This is not you denying life-saving plasma for children...it's just food. Breathe. Give yourself some time to envision why it is you are doing this and what you want for yourself at the other end. Imagine how that will make you feel. Before you let yourself eat, make a list of things you require yourself to do before hand: Here is mine: Breathe deeply 10 times. Do 10 head rolls in each direction. Drink a glass of water. Take a quick walk. If I'm at work I walk to the restroom and back even if I don;t have to go. Usually that distracts me from needing to eat! Good luck. Oh no you didn't!!! We all have bad moments, (I believe I am having a very long bad moment...a week long one if you will). You just have to get to the point where you stop and think and realize...just because you had a bad day/week/year/life....you can still get back on track. And it doesn't have to feel like a huge impossible thing. Find what motivates you and stick with it. For me I find if I am way off track, if I get back to the website and just spend time reading blogs, checking out some articles...stuff like that usually gets me in the right mind set. Water! Boring

I know i have am supposed to drink 8 glasses of water a day.. But i am so sick of water i dont like to drink it any more. any suggestions?

I always drank water,but drink more since Spark came into my life!! I have a glass that I drew a black line on outside marking 16 ozs. I know if I fill that only 4 times a day,(and add ice) there is my 8 glasses. Nothing takes the place of water in my opinion. I used to be a diet coke junkie, I only drink 1 glass now. Slice up lemons and limes and squeeze those in for an added flavor too. Do you like tea? You might find some unsweetened teas to help you get more water in your body. Report Inappropriate Comment

I buy those little packets of Crystal Light (Walmart brand is just as good) that go in a 16 oz. bottle of water. I also add a couple of packets of Splenda for sweetness. It tastes like KoolAid, much better than plain water. Also, Powerade Zero grape flavor is really good for a no calorie drink, it is 32 ounces and I can guzzle those (when I can afford them). Question birth control and weight gain! Ladies whats your opinion? Do you think that being on birth control makes you gain weight?

I think it depends on everyone's individual body, but I do know quite a few people who went on the Depo shot and gained weight. I've also heard of people taking one kind of pill and gaining weight, then switching to another and losing it. But I'm not sure if it's the hormones causing the weight gain, or the cravings or feelings of laziness the hormones cause. I have Implanon and it's hard to tell if affected my weight gain because I wasn't living a very active or healthy lifestyle, but it definitely hasn't made it any more difficult than I thought it would be to lose weight. The depo shot does have weight gain... I did use the nuva ring and I loved it, I don't think there was weight gain with it... Now I'm on Mirena (IUD) and am losing weight with my new lifestyle... so I love it! I'm not sure about pills, but if you'd like to know more about the nuva ring or mirena just send me a spark mail! I have friends who have been on the Depo shot and they have both gained a lot of weight. When they stopped taking the shot, they lost the weight. I don't know if that form of birth control made them hungry or if it was fluid retention but there was definitely some connection. Report Inappropriate Comment

I am on the IUD, and I have not noticed any weight gain since I have been on it. I have stopped having TOM, which is weird to get adjusted to, but convenient in the long run. Report Inappropriate Comment

Ok everyone.. i know this may sound strange but how do you get that little bar to show up at the bottom of your page, the one that can track your weight with the different designs.. i cant find it any where. Thanks for everyon's help....
