My coworker and I before the 5K- she ran it in 29 minutes! I am proud of her, she has been training since July! Much more willpower than me, haha.
My other coworker and I, she walked it with me. We had fun even though I twisted my ankle on a big rock! Only me... I am a total klutz and uncoordinated to boot. Luckily we were almost at the finish when it happened. We made it back in about 55 minutes which includes a stop for me to take one of my layers off (it got warm!) and a stop for some cell phone pictures of a pretty brook we crossed. LOL.
Anyway, I'm happy I did it, and now that I know what to expect distance-wise, I'd like to actually RUN a 5K sometime.
For now I'm off to clean up the house (tore it apart looking for a specific cell phone charger that I couldn't find, now I need to put everything away) and relax a bit. Tomorrow I've got to test a recipe for pumpkin whoopie pies, which I will be baking for the Keene Pumpkin Festival next weekend... hoping not to eat too many!

is tomorrow! I am walking it with my coworker L who decided to do it with me since her plans for the weekend fell through. She doesn't want to run at all, I hope maybe she'll jog a litlte with me! If not I'm okay walking it with her. My other coworker has been training really hard to run it so now I feel more excited about going since I have a walking buddy.
I am mostly feeling better from my weird, not-strep, illness. Just a tiny sore throat now. I'm not sure what it was but I'm happy it's going away.
We have a busy weekend coming up and I am looking forward to getting back on track with my workouts and exercise by next week. I weighed myself yesterday, it was 194.4, which irritated me as I've been eating soup, yogurt, and fruit all week. Low-cal soup, too, lol. But then I got a bit of a period at work so that sort of explains the gain. I checked again today and I was at 192- lowest I've seen in a while! I'll take it, and hope it stays there or lower for Monday's weigh-in.
This weekend I have the 5K, then we have some house stuff (insulating) to do. I need to go looking for costume supplies for Spencer and myself and start working on those. I also need to get baking supplies as I am baking whoopie pies for the Keene YMCA's booth at the pumpkin festival next weekend. Also have to fit in homework, maybe some grocery shopping, and shopping for a jacket. Plus a drive to Troy (about 30 minutes away) to pick up our truck which will finally be ready for inspection after several months being "illegal" to drive lol.
Anyway, I saved some leftover Hamburger Helper from dinner for today's lunch, which I know isn't that healthy...at least it was made with skim milk and lean ground beef haha. Then it's more yogurt and any other soft foods I can find since it does seem to be keeping the sore throat at bay. Supposed to be very cold today... not excited at all.

Yesterday I left work at 9 am, sick with a fever, headache, and backache. My fever finally broke at about 5 am this morning and I worked today but felt poopy- very lethargic and my throat is SOOO sore... I ate mainly soft things today and they still hurt like hell to swallow.
Anyway, my exercise is on hold until I'm feeling a bit better. I am trying to convince my friend to walk the 5K with me on Saturday. I can definitely walk it, but running it is probably out.
Today I weighed in (skipped it yesterday) at 193.8 which was the same as the previous week. Eating no solids should be good for my diet, at least... haha.
Anyway, that's all for now. Time to snuggle with my baby bean.
