We made such a yummy dinner last night- baked, breaded chicken (Kraft FreshTakes- soooo yum!), green beans sauteed in oil and garlic, and stuffing. I counted calories, and had nothing after dinner aside from 4 vanilla wafers and a nibble of Spencer's ice cream as I was feeding him. Today I've got leftover chicken and stuffing for lunch and will make some veggies to go with it. I need to eat a bigger breakfast today too, been so hungry in the mornings this week! I only snacked at work yesterday though, did great the rest of the week.
I've been getting to bed about an hour later than normal and it's really taking a toll, I'm so sleepy. But too much coffee makes my tummy hurt. Hoping a nice shower helps me wake up!
Yesterday I worked out on lunch and took a walk with my class too. Today I'm planning on working out on lunch, and maybe staying home with Spencer while Joe takes Chloe home. I don't really feel like sitting in the car for an hour and a half....
Tomorrow and Sunday are always the hardest for me. I'm going to try to get to the gym tomorrow, or at least do some exercise at home. Off I go for now. :)

Yesterday was a nice day. I left my Kindle at work so I couldn't track calories for dinner, but I probably had about 500. Had some pasta with margarine and sprinkle cheese and some oyster crackers. Didn't snack at all after dinner.
I didn't get to the gym yesterday... we were short-staffed at work and I ended up not taking a lunch break. I'm going to go today for sure.
Thank goodness it's Thursday... I am so tired for some reason. It's been raining all week, I think that has something to do with it.
Checked my weight yesterday- down a few pounds. Not adding anything to my tracker right now though, the tracker on this site is not correct and I'm too lazy to change it! LOL
Off I go- need coffee this morning!

Yesterday was...okay. I did fine on calories during the day, and worked out for 20 minutes on my lunch break (according to the treadmill I burnt 205 calories, I don't really believe that!). I'm really enjoying going upstairs on my break- the gym is mostly empty and it's a nice way to relax by myself in the middle of the day. I read that doing a short amount of exercise frequently is better for you than working out for a longer period of time infrequently, so I'm hoping my daily 20 minutes will start making a difference. I'd also like to work out after work a few days so I can get a little bit of a longer workout it.
I'd like to start using some of the strength machines for getting my arms and legs a bit more toned...but am a bit unsure of where to start. Any recommendations?? Our gym is pretty well stocked with brand new machines so I have most types available.
Last night I went to a training with 7 other people from work (part 2 from a training last week) and we spent the evening cooking and eating healthy recipes that had veggies in them! So needless to say I didn't count calories. We all took a station and made a recipe and then sat and ate. It's part of the Early Sprouts curriculum we are starting which encourages kids to get involved with gardening and exploring (and eating) veggies! My coworker Emily and I made Lemony Pasta with Swiss Chard (the first time I'd ever had it!), we also had sesame green beans, black bean and red pepper burgers on pitas, English muffin pizzas with homemade tomato sauce, carrot cookies, and butternut squash smoothies! It was so yummy and fun. I can't wait to start "cooking" with my toddlers and my kids at home. We are staring the curriculum in July.
My tummy has been a little out of whack the past few days and I'm wondering if I have a mild strain of the virus that was going around work. I'm going to try to eat light, mild stuff today. Gotta go get ready for work, it's 5:30 am already. *yawn*

On Saturday morning my husband and I had a nasty fight and I decided that it would be best for us both if we had a bit of space. I packed up the car and my son and drove down to my parents' house in Philadelphia (about 7 hours from where we live in NH). My parents are out of town so it was just my son and I this weekend... on Saturday my sister took us out to dinner and we wandered around the mall. It was nice to catch up with her. Yesterday my grandmother had us over for lunch and my brother, sister-in-law, and niece came from New Jersey to visit with us for a few hours. The kids (my niece is 10) had a great time playing together. We even went to the playground which was a lot of fun. Then Spencer and I went to visit my best friend for about an hour, came home, and went to bed pretty early. Today we're heading back to NH at around 11 am...I'm going to give Spencer lunch here before we go so hopefully he'll nap in the car for the first few hours.
Obviously, I took today off work. I feel kind of guilty but I just needed to clear my head. Joe and I have been struggling lately and I just needed space, really. I want our marriage to work, and we've been talking every day that I've been gone. He regrets how he acted and so do I and I'm looking forward to going home and really trying to communicate better and just improve our marriage.
My aunt lent me $200 bucks since I only brought $60 with me so I'm going to send her a thank you note when I get back to NH (even though my parents are paying her back). I'm going to stop and get gas at my dad's station before we hit the road today which will be free... and I've only spent $30 of what my aunt gave me on a few groceries for our stay, so the rest will be able to go in the bank. We're quite broke at the moment so it's lucky I have a great family.
Spencer is destroying my mom's office... I'd better go. Tomorrow I'll get back on track with calories and exercise- I ate a lot yesterday at my grandmother's! Today I'll probably have chicken nuggets for lunch with Spencer, haha.
I feel like this little break was really what I needed. I hope it helps bring some clarity to all aspects of my life, not just marriage.
