I'm feelin' so great right now. I had checked the scale over the weekend out of curiousity, it said 196 (my start weight this time around was 200, just can't bring myself to change my tracker here lol), this morning I did my official weigh in and it said 195. Amazing what a solid week of tracking and fitting in some exercise can do!
Yesterday I didn't track through the afternoon but did okay aside from some munchkins from DD and a medium caramel coolata that I drank half of (finished this morning since OUR WATER IS NOT RUNNING!). I figured it's okay to splurge like that 'cause I know otherwise I'll binge and completely get off track. Next time I just need to count the calories for my splurges.
So yeah, for some reason we don't have water this morning. Which really sucks 'cause on top of being really thirsty I want to take a damn shower and brush my teeth before work!! I have no idea what is going on...usually if we lose power, the water goes as well, but the power is fine. Joe said it's been off since around 1:30 am. He'll have to call the landlords when he gets up, it's too early right now. Usually they let us know beforehand if they're going to be turning anything off.
I just made lunch which was fairly easy thanks to the convenience of microwave dinners. I made a lean cuisine meal that I added a serving of microwaved veggies to. Also having lots of raw veggies, a 1/2 cup of fruit, and yogurt and cheese. My hubby left a glass of water on the counter so I drank that and took my pills, I'm going to have cereal for breakfast because I finally bought almond milk again from the store. Usually we only have whole milk for the kids and it's way too many calories. I'm not really a fan of milk, but I've liked the almond milk I've tried.
Not sure if I'm going to the gym today. Have to make a few stops after work and the dog has a vet appointment at 4:30. I might make it up there on my lunch break, I guess it depends on how hungry I am. It's supposed to be warm today- almost 90 degrees, and cool down later this week. Last night it rained which we really need, it's been super dry here and all the creeks and ponds are drying up! Anyway, I'm off to do what I can without running water... might have to go to work a bit early today to freshen up there! Oh, life.
Here's to another great week...and another 3-5 pounds lost?!?

So, I didn't have a chance to blog yesterday... Tuesday night went well aside from a few bites of mac n' cheese. I didn't go to the gym on Tuesday though, due to a headache. Yesterday we had plans for after I got out of work so I went to the gym for 20 minutes on my lunch break. I used the weird stair-stepper elliptical and burnt 205 calories, according to the machine (I never know how accurate that is lol) and I was proud of myself for doing it. I have a dr's appt today so I am leaving work a little early, so today might be another 20 minute workout day. I don't get to eat until much later if I do work out on lunch, so it will depend on how hungry I am.
Right now I'm burning my tongue on hot tea in a desperate attempt to warm up, I am freezing! soon I'll make breakfast, take my pills, and get ready for the day. I'm going to have salad for lunch, probably with some chicken breast deli meat tossed in. The past couple days I have gone a little overboard with dinner but stayed within my calories..today I need to avoid doing that. Also I need to keep track of all my calories electronically instead of just mentally tallying dinner... I tend to eat more when I can't SEE the breakdown in front of me.
Our bathroom at work is one single unit that is pretty big, and has metal bars along the walls to help handicapped or elderly people. Yesterday I did 10 push-ups against the bar every time I went into the restroom, I think I did 30 or 40 of them. I can't do a real push-up to save my life but since these are like modified wall push-ups I'd like to keep up the trend. Yesterday I had a constant pain in my lower back/upper left thigh so I also took advantage of the roomy bathroom to do some stretching and leg lifts, LOL. My hubby thinks I pinched a nerve. Right now it's a very dull ache but didn't bother me when I walked, which was mostly when it hurt yesterday- although it didn't bother me at all while exercising. Anyway, I'm hoping it's righted itself because it was hell yesterday!
Anyway, off I go to eat breakfast and get ready for the day.
Also, haha...I deactivated my facebook temporarily. people are just bugging me on there... I need a break and I'm such an addict that I check too much when I have it activated! Gah!
OH PS- I snuck a peek at the scale yesterday. already down a couple pounds since Sunday. Woot!

Good morning. :) It's cold here...can't wait to get a nice hot shower. I think I'll do my hair and makeup today for a change. Sometimes it's the little things, like feeling pretty at work, that make staying on track easier!
Right now I'm just waiting for my breakfast to cool down (having a Jimmy Dean De-lites breakfast sandwich, they are super yummy and only 260 calories) so I can take my pills. Think I'll take 3 today! Yesterday I felt fine. Even got a little running in with the kiddos at work, helped me stay warm on the playground haha. I'm sick of the cold weather.
Last night before bed I decided to make a pot of soup. Chicken broth (low-sodium, reduced fat), two small cans of mixed veggies, a regular sized can of dark red kidney beans, two stalks of celery, and a can of chili-style diced tomatoes I decided to throw in at the last minute. I also tossed in a cup (and yes, I measured) of ditalini pasta. My little tastes of it yesterday were yummy. I don't really know the calories in it, nor do I care too much, the highest calorie things are the beans and pasta and the beans are good for you and there's not too much pasta. I suppose I should try to count it as maybe 200 cals per serving? I don't know. lol. Anyway, I plan to eat a lot of soup this week for lunch. Healthy, filling, and nice and warm!
So, I had a question about fitness...I hope someone will answer! My main problem areas are my tummy (from having a baby), my hips, and my butt/thigh area. My waist is relatively tiny and if I was slimmer I'd probably have an hourglass shape. I just do the treadmill at the gym because it's "safe" but I doubt it's really targeting the areas I need to burn fat off off. any suggestions as to what might be better? At the gym there's stationary bikes, treadmills, regular ellipticals (which I hate), weird stair-stepper/elliptical machines, and a few old-fashioned stair-climbers that I can't do for more than a few minutes right now. I'm guessing the elliptical will probably be best but I hate them...my toes go numb.
Anywway, any tips are appreciated! Off I go to get ready for the day.

Well, today was my first day buckling down and counting calories again, I even went to the gym and burnt 285 calories on the treadmill (so it said)! We had a yummy dinner of chicken, green beans, and mashed 'tatoes... I used one of those new Kraft breading mixes on the chicken, it was really good! I never bread chicken so it was a nice treat...and the kids liked it! Will definitely buy it again.
I have about 400 calories left today, but I'm full. So that's pretty good! I might have a choc. covered pretzel later. I made a few this weekend and some choc. covered graham crackers too... just broke the crackers in 4ths and dipped them. I had one piece while making dinner.
Spencer is being craaaaaaaankkkkkyyyyy. Bed early, I think... he was up 'til 9 last night! Too late for a baby. He sure is cute though.
I had wanted to do some strength training at the gym but didn't, just did about 35 minutes on the treadmill, so I might whip out my Kindle and do some of the exercise apps I have on that later. More tomorrow!
