Last week should just be erased from existance! I was TERRIBLE. I did not count calories. I ate about a bazillion gallons of ice cream. I did not work out much. Oh well. I guess I really can't let it derail me. It happened, I should have done better, but I didn't.... but there's still time to redeem myself.
By now, I should've been midway to my goal.... and instead, I weigh the same, if not a few pounds more, than I did in the beginning of the year when I decided to get really serious and lose this weight. So much for seriousness.... I supposed I can take a small pride in the fact that my jeans are a little loose, and I feel like I was really doing well with counting calories.
Just need to really focus and start working out. There's really no excuse. Last week was beautiful outside, this week it's 30 degrees colder... not fair! I did get in an hour long walk on Thursday and did some random exercises here and there. But I really need to start doing some major cardio...I think I might have to switch to the elliptical at the gym. I love the treadmill, but it's just not getting me results right now.
My sister's wedding reception is on Saturday and I'm going home to PA for 4 days. I know I won't really be dieting but I'll bring my Kindle with me and try to keep track. I'm praying- make that PRAYING, that the dress I wore to my own wedding reception still fits me...if not, I have nothing to wear to this dinner on Saturday.
Anyway, off I go to make lunch...so far I'm at 425 calories for the day, and that's including lunch, so I definitely need to add some more to my menu because even I know that's not healthy. Here's to a good day!

Ughhh. I don't know why, but I made Irish Potatoes yesterday. Ok, I do know why...because I'm fat. Anyway, I dipped most in chocolate and rolled some in cinnamon. They were deliciooooousss. Joe and I tore through them... and I did not diet this weekend, like, at all.
BUT I'm not going to wallow.
I can't find my T-Tapp dvd that has the workout I like so I ended up trying a new workout just a few minutes ago. It's called Step Away the Inches...I had to do the instructional part first and then I did 17 minutes of the actual workout (which is about 23 minutes long I think). So all in all I did about a half hour....if not a little over. I'm feeling it! The T-Tapp stance (toes forward, knees bent, butt tucked, shoulder back, knees out) is hard to maintain while stepping but I think I did alright! Gotta for sure keep it up...I feel all the right soreness right now.
Anyway, salad's for lunch all week because we bought a ton of lettuce! Going to get back on counting cals and planning out my meals... but right now, going to watch the season finale of The Walking Dead! Woop. season got good just in time for it to end.

So, I'm a bit behind on my blogs...been busy. I'm just going to do a short recap of the crazy events this week. Tuesday evening we got stuck in the mud near our house and had to get towed... I barely made it out to the paved road in the morning to get to work, and I had my son with me. Then when I finally got to pavement, my battery light was on and some other lights. Pulled over, called my dad's auto shop in PA and asked one of the mechanics what he thought the problem was or what I should do- after calling my boss and being told I couldn't call out because she needed me. Jim told me it was either the alternator or a belt and I needed to get to a shop ASAP, so I managed to get it to a place nearby although I had to stop a few times and let the car cool down. The shop didn't open 'til 8 and I got there at 7, so my boss (who lives like, 45 min. away from work) was going to pick us up at 8 on her way to work. Spencer was great in the car during the wait.
Anyway, they fixed my car- it was just the belt which was much cheaper than the alternator would be, and told me I needed to clean all the mud out from around the engine. So, Wednesday night I ended up buying a Toyota 4Runner that we had seen for sale on Craigslist- paid $1300 for it. It's 4 wheel drive and lifted so now we can get through the mud no problem. My hubby and I picked up the little car on Thursday night and took it to the car wash- shakes bad still so it has to go back today for a better washing. Right now it's parked down at the bottom of the muddy road- I won't risk trying to drive it up to the house until the mud dries.
ANYWAY, dieting has gone pretty well. Yesterday was a non-calorie counting day, had chinese for lunch (and leftovers for dinner), but overall I think it was okay.
Today I'm feeling either a cold coming on or allergies...just drinking some tea now and about to spend some time with Spencer, who is awake and being silly. I skipped doing the homework that was due on Wednesday and half-assed all of last week's assignments, so I really need to focus on getting stuff done this weekend. I HATE the class I'm taking... only 4 weeks left though. I love the 6-week online format. :)
I'm planning to get back into T-Tapp this weekend and even found a team here on SP for it- super happy about that. Hopefully if I do it every day until the wedding reception I'll be able to buy another dress or at least look better in the one I have.

Woof. Yesterday was crazy. This is going to be short, because I'm needing a shower and to get ready for work, but will blog again tonight about the events of yesterday.
Let me just say this- we bought a truck, so I can get to work safely.
Looking forward to my lunch today. Just made it and it looks so yummy. Simple salad with tuna, and some green beans and mushrooms sauteed in some spread (we use fake butter) with garlic salt. I never cook my veggies in butter, but decided to spurgle on a tablespoon of it today- 50 cals of yumminess! Our mushrooms were getting slimy so cooking them is the perfect solution.
Going to try to make it to the gym after work...gonna be kinda busy today so not sure I'll have time. Will write more later!
