As a native French woman, this should be easy, but maybe that is why I moved out, I am as uncouth as they get! not rude, not impolite, no, I just don't necessarily know the boundaries of etiquette: I am a child at heart, and so can be quite impulsive, have no qualms in doing gymnastics move on any stretch of ground available (albeit pityfully easy ones!) .. I sing and dance in supermarket... that kind of stuff. No, I am not mad, I just enjoy life!
Anyways, for this task, it is more really about being supportive to others. I hope I am. I shall go and catch up with some fellow students now!

It is a nasty Italian monster who resides in the very heart of Mount Etna! It has unequaled mental powers that crumbles even the most determined opponant's resolve, sending constant mental words: you will not manage, you will not maintain, hence it's name!
That is my personal dragon: it rears its tail everytime I hit goal, and takes me away, making me gain again, proving it right.
I am yet to find the way to fight it, I guess I need more mental strength, so meditating might be a good idea... finding time to do it will prove equally tough!

how can I overcome them? I know of strategies, but will I ever really manage to actually put them into practice at my key weak times?
1- going away, and therefore having less routine, more boredom which makes me want to mindlessly eat, not having my gym and classes and not being in charge of the cooking.... strategies: shop for my own healthy snacks, limit my portions, engage in fun activities that make me forget about eating, take my MP3 and do my own exercise: in short, plan my day to be as much like home as possible....
2- PMT frustration: know that it is coming and remove all temptation from the house! Not shopping when hungry or tired, take time to breathe and relativise!
3- having guests and wanting to treat them to everything good I know. This doesn't mean that it has to be chocolate, cheese or pastry based: it can be a delicious fruit salad, as I would have for mid afternoon snack, it can mean a yogurt like we have at 4pm. it usuallyu includes a tasty and healthy meal, so it is the snacking the problem! (and breakfast pastries!!!!)
As I say, I know, I know what I should do.... feel free to remind me next time I warn that I am about to face one of the other and keep me accountable!!!!

After thinking I could try it without tracking, I have decided that actually, I might as well, as it has helped greatly inthe past.... as with most thing, I will probably have to learn to live without it when I get there, and that might mean progressive weaning....
So here I go again, hoping to be successful, slowly so, and for the long run... Maybe I shall never go away at the week end or on holidays, and then I might have a chance!
