Being in a RUT is not just for deer! LOL

Thursday, April 25, 2013

This week was my most challenging since this whole process. I didn't even go to the gym on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday... I do usually go once or even twice a day if possible during the week days. I found myself back into this same old RUT like last fall which had led me to regaining 30 of my first 40 lbs lost... Now I am not a type of person to look back and dwell so today I thought just GO!!!! I went and let me tell you the first mile on the treadmill was good, then biked for 2 mile, went home showered met a friend for lunch (salads) and by 3PM after some time spent shopping we were back to the couch to 5k practice... I kept doubting this run cause it was going to be tough, and it was-- but we all made it and I have these 6 friends all to thank or I may have stayed home. LOL Thanks for your support here on SP .     Wow that's great to hear that you didn't go back to your old habits and looked to a brighter future. Sounds like you really are going through a lifestyle change! Congratulations! :)

Negative thinking

Thursday, April 18, 2013

Today I was doing the couch to 5k practice and during the first 15 minute run, I found myself having this stinking thinking that would make me think " I can't do this" and " I'm the oldest here": Well the short end of this story is I never really have the negative thoughts, and found this very upsetting and sort of discouraging, although I did finish today's practice!! Not sure what to make of all this but one thing I do know is being that I am a christian I just kept praying through the whole work out.

Awesome that you were able to pray your way through your workout and for recognizing that your negative thoughts needed to go!

As the Word says, take every thought captive. Once you take them captive, have to replace them with the truth. And the truth is: Whether you walk it, jog it or do a little of both, you can and will finish your 5K!

I am doing a 5K with my mom this weekend and it is a mud/foam obstacle course 5K. Most people dress up, so I made us matching capes and we have matching shirts. :) I am a couple of years older than you and my mother is in her 60's. You are never too old to try something new and have fun!

Prayers for your training and for your race! emoticon

Every time a negative thought pops up replace it with a positive. This really helped me out. So next time you think "I am the oldest here." Replace it with "I finished last time, I will finish this time and age is not a factor."

God in my LIFE

Thursday, March 21, 2013

I am more than a conqueror, I know that God will give me the power to do it!! If your determined to have the will of God in your life no Devil can take it and steal my peace.// (Ephesions6:11-12) // I find that every time I struggle with my weight, size, and even happiness I usually end up either not working out or eating unhealthy and even have conflict my husband. I am making the change keeping God as number one, I am stopping eating wrong and I am working out which leaves me with less stress and less disagreements with my husband. I have to say living life and knowing God I am in for great change. A change that starts with my happiness in marriage, my health and fitness all because Gods on my side!! emoticon

GOD is the reason we are alive, for sure! Ephesians is one of His special love letters to encourage us who trust into Jesus. He blesses us with every spiritual blessing! And those are the most dear!

AMEN! Jesus should always be the center of everything hat we do...always remember that with him in the vessel you can smile at the storm...He will give you the strength to stand up to your mountains (eating right and working out)...he is also your counselor.
