New shoes (pics)

Friday, September 17, 2010

Alright - here are the promised pictures of my new shoes.

stylish comfort :)

sexy for date night

After spending most of the summer in Birkenstocks I had "heel withdrawal" or maybe style withdrawal as my Birkies are pure comfort but although cute, a little low on style.. At least snowboots won't be part of my wardrobe this winter :)

Going home

Wednesday, September 15, 2010

We had a fun day in Scottsdae yesterday. DH got his shopping done at West Marine and we wandered around Old Town for a bit. It was hot so we need to come back some other time - this winter maybe??
I got a little bit of shopping done as well, 2 paperback books and 2 pairs of shoes... red patent peeptoe flats (so cute!) and a pair of black gladiator sandals with a 3" heel - I love those!!
Today we're heading home, it will be nice to see the cats again... we need to find homes for them and that will be hard on me.

I love my kitties. why do you have to find homes for them? we brought our cats all the way from Washington state here to Mexico. I couldn't be without my kitties.

My daughter would take all your cats if she could! We have four baby kittens (and two adults), and she was ooh-aahing over someone else's kittens at a church dinner on Sunday!

Can't you take them with you to Mexico? emoticon emoticon emoticon

Afgter a 7-1/2 hour drive we made it to Scottsdale and after checking into the motel we had a lovely dinner at Macaroni Grill... Love the lamb skewer - a ncei smallish portion after pigging out on that lovely bread...
We may stay another day here as DH has some shopping to do.. hey, I may even shop a little as well :)

You could head up I-17 to I-40 and have lunch or late breakfast in Winslow at La Posada tomorrow... Just an idea. I never pass up the chance.

Sunrise (pic)

Monday, September 13, 2010

Sunday morning I woke up to a beautiful sunrise. The picture hardly does it justice, the sun was more red than it showed up..

Today (Monday) we're heading north again. We should be back in Arboles Tuesday evening or sometime Wednesday and I'm hoping for some nice fall weather... I've been thinking jeans, closed shoes, cuddly sweaters (or anything with a sleeve!) and a pot of beef stew bubbling on the stove.... Can you smell it??

    Beautiful sunrise.
We had some mornings in the low 30s last week ( I covered my garden because of a frost warning), but this week is supposed to be in the high 70s and lows in the 40s, so the sweaters may be only in the morning and evening. Have a safe journey.

    Beautiful view!

Have a safe trip back home! I'm sure you'll find the weather quite different! It's 50 here right now at 8:20 a.m., and that's warmer than it has been recently.

Lovely! Our Sunday morning we woke to rain - but after 10 days with none, sometimes rain can be a beautiful thing....

I love fall, but here in Northern Virginia, we're still a couple weeks away from long pants and long sleeves.
