Zumba day

Zumba at work

The social committee where I work, has been trying to incorporate wellness activities. They brought in yoga once a week at lunch-pay as you go. Next week they are starting Zumba. I enjoy zumba, and will do it at work, though the time slot is crazy. Zumba is alot of sweating. They are holding it during lunch. Oh well, going to get my zumba groove on. At least there is a shower at work, if everyone isn't fighting for it at once. I am glad the majority of my day is done by time lunch rolls around, and it is only once a week-a free trial for 6 weeks, to decide whether they will bring it in and we will have to pay.

Tendonitis and Ellipticals

So, I made it into the gym today-the tendonitis was down to the usual dull pain. I was told by my doctor, I would need injection shots to get it to heal. It had healed for about a year, but gradually came back. Not letting that stop me. Just wondering, anyone else who has suffered with foot pain. Is there a level on the elliptical which uses less pressure on the foot. For some reason, I am thinking a higher tilt would be better-using your knees more? Any thoughts?

Last night and today my tendonitis in my left foot is in full force. This meant no gym day today, and taking it easy. To not make the day a total waste I was able to work my upper core with weights and crunches. Hopefully, tomorrow, my foot will be bearable to make it in to the gym.The elliptical and treadmill are calling to me.

    I like that. Part of your body is telling you it needs a rest, so you are going to exercise other parts..lol.

One of those days

Today began as one of those down in the dumps days. You know the ones, where you are putting in the work, and you know you are seeing some results, yet at the same time you aren't seeing the end result. So after the pity party, if you can call it that, I gave myself a mental shake, reminding myself, that in fact, the weight didn't go on overnight, it sure isn't coming off overnight. I put in a workout DVD and kept on trekking along.
Since it is Ash Wednesday I am having fish for dinner. I confess I wanted french fries, but luckily there aren't any in the house, so I am having spinach and cheese risotto on the side.

    I can totally understand; I had one of "those" days today too. I'm exhausted and am gonna just go and get some rest!
