Lent - Feeling too sick to do much study today - just the encouragement to hear the Call of Jesus to discipleship ... What do You want me to do in my Christian walk and then today of all days, He answers by having the phone ring 4 times with Prayer requests - I am to Pray!!! That has been my ministry for several years but gets clearer as I get older.
Low Carb - new Challenge - I woke with sore throat and chest cold and always make chicken noodle soup - so how do I do that low carb????? I had just mastered my Gluten free recipe and now no noodles either?? So I experimented with making big pot of chicken, onion and spies and lots of water then taking out smaller portions and trying different veggies in it - Some finely shredded cabbage tasted good but like "health food and was vetoed by DH. Mixed frozen veggies was OK for both of us but still miss the noodle or rice component - Suggestions? Also missed my honey in the lemon tea and lots of cough drops since they are just candy or artificial sweet .... Iced tea is feeling better than hot tonight.
I ended the day with 88 carbs and 62 net carbs so managed OK! Of course my calories are down too and the chest cold is still there so will try again tomorrow with some turkey soup!!
