Month 4 drawing to a close Ready for #5

Goals not all met and weight stayed stable so new goal is to drop my calorie intake 100cal per day and be faithful on the treadmill -- no excuses of weather or other things - if I am home I must be on it once a day - goal set for distance but no matter what i WILL at least get on the thing - and if i do that i will get a few minutes of walking!!! plus one flight of stairs to get to it!!!

Then if my De-clutter goals are also met by next month maybe the treadmill will get moved to mainfloor of the house in my clean office - Also I will be outside more and walking further in activities of daily living as Dear husband's truck garden hits harvest and market levels. Going to be a good month!!!

Well here I go to the treadmill! . emoticon God bless you every one

Ready for month #4 with Sparkpeople

I get more comfortable with recording statistics and meeting goals each month - the accountabiity of Sparks is good for me - I expecially treasure my main teams - and have to be caredful to not over extend ---so many teams look so good but i must be accountable for computer time too.

i would love to totally overcome the fibromyalgia that has slowed me down for most of my life but also must learn to live withing my limitations but that doesn't mean reamining too heavy - i might be slow in loosing but I am learning consistency wins the day slow but sure. This is my positive self tak - I will overcome! Thanks for your encouragemnet in so many ways my dear Spark friends - i appreciate you!

    Linda- so glad you are my sparkfriend! Fibromyalgia may be with us for a long time but I am seeing mine become more stable with the amount and frequency of my pain episodes decreasing. I think that gluten free living, heatlhy food choices and more consistent exercise has made difference. Keep up the good work and you will keep meeting your goals and getting healthier one day and one pound at a time!

Celebrating 33 years of marriage

....12.5 pounds lighter this year! So thankful for better health to do the next 33 years!

Ready for month #3 with SPARK People

Need to journal the results of almost 2 months with Sparks - next week will have no time as Daughter is moving back to the valley after being in California for 7 years and we are excited!!! will be busy helping, praying, watching and enjoying her so will not be on line much esp on Fri, and Sat April 1 and 2
Great learning of where things are located and how to use Spark features...Including returning to my blogs to find that my precious friends were writing there and I didn't even know it...THANK YOU-ALL!!!
So my progress: excellent tracking of calories and new awareness of too many carbs, low fiber and medium to low proteins - Excellent gluten free efforts and success ... dairy free is HARD, poor success but Huge amounts of learning, awareness and beginnings of some comfort levels in choices and much less tummy aches!! It is worth it all!!. I have been faithful with pedometer in the home - does not work in public except for one concerted effort to walk one store with awareness of the pedometer so I did not lose it!! Have exercises printed out very basic, beginning level strength training starting April 1 so I feel I have learned much and several successes....Forward HO!!! Choosing to start my "all out Dairy Free" to co-inside with Lent

I've studied a bit and laid in a few supplies and will begin Wednesday - I don't usually give up anything as part of Lent but thought this was a positive thing for me to do which does parallel my usual special 40 day study of some kind - this year it will be to build a healthier body and knowledge of a very difficult eating limitation. I need encouragement and advise so feel free to add on your comments.

    Linda- I made my favorite dairy free smoothie today and thought of you...I love raspberries and chocolate and so this makes me smile!!
Recipe" 1/2 cup chocolate coconut milk ice cream
1 cup frozen raspberries
3/4 cup vanilla almond milk
1 squeeze hersheys chocolate syrup
1/4 cup water
1 tblsp fiber one (natural veggie fiber)
Blend this together and enjoy!!!
I also make this same smoothie with orange juice and vanilla coconut ice cream and make orange berry smoothie. Hope you are doing good with your dairy free!

    You can do it Linda! Remember to journal the changes you see in your body as you get rid of the dairy. The world without dairy is a healthier place for me. I eat cheese, gluten free cream soup and ice cream occasionally now after 3 years of being totally gluten free but other wise do just fine with no dairy. Let me know if there is anything you are missing and I will hopefully share what I substituted. Smiles Barb emoticon
