When I feel a binge coming in the best thing to do is try to figure out why. Lots of times there is something else I am avoiding like sleeping or housework. I have to just get up and do what needs to be done instead of eating. I will feel better doing that rather than making myself sick with food.

Old baggy clothes

My old clothes that are in good condition will be donated to charity shops. There isn't much that's worth anything because being overweight made me lose interest in trying to find nice clothes. I'm looking forward to being able to dress up again.

    Good for you! It's a great feeling twice over - getting rid of the things cluttering up your closet that no longer fit, AND knowing that someone else will be able to get some use out of items that don't work for us anymore.

The glass

As a former Peace Corps Volunteer I'm supposed to always see the glass as half full. Frankly, I'm usually just grateful to have a glass! The contents come and go but the container must remain whole.

Exercise

It's hard for me to stick to an exercise program. That's why I prefer to walk. I would love to walk to work like I did 20 years ago but I don't live in an area that let's me do that. Until I can combine exercise and transportation, I am parking as far away from my office as possible, getting up from my desk more often and taking the stairs. It's working!
