I just wanted to apologize to all of my friends for not being present here lately. I am doing great with my maintenance and have been working really hard with weights. I think of you all often!     I totally understand, the busyness of life definitely makes it harder to log in and socialize. I've been very absent from Spark the last month for the same reason. Hope you had a fantastic holidays though, and glad to hear you're doing well. :-) Take care of yourself, and say hi now and then until you're able to spend more time online.

Make the Seemingly Impossible Possible!

So I've met my latest goal...now what? lol At this point I'm not going to set any further weight loss goals but I do want to continue to build muscle. People have commented that I have an athletic body which is such a huge compliment because I push my body really hard and it's great that people are taking notice. My goal was never to be skinny it was always to be fit. I am in the best shape of my life and I owe it all to hard work and consistency! Anything is possible if you are willing to work for it! HAS ANYONE SEEN MY APPETITE?

I have had a rough week so far. When I get stressed out I lose my appetite. This may seem like a good thing when you are trying to lose weight but I have been feeling like crap because I can't seem to force myself to eat enough. This is also finals week for school so this is just bad timing all around. I did a little better today but still having headaches and feeling light headed due to lack of nutrients. I know I need to eat I just literally can't get much down. Hopefully this passes soon because although my goal was to lose weight it was also to get healthy. This is certainly not healthy!

Way To Go Gracie!

My 11 year-old daughter has always dreaded running the mile at school and isn't much for physical activity. She is at a healthy weight but I've always encouraged her to get some exercise for health reasons. Well....today she asked if she could use my treadmill! I was astonished! She proceeded to jog and power walk 1.25 miles and wants to do it again tomorrow!! So proud of her! emoticon

Eat More Lose More!

Well, I was right! I did need to increase my calories to continue to lose weight. Seems like an odd concept but when you work out a lot you need more calories or your body goes into the dreaded "starvation mode". For the last couple of weeks I have increased my calories by a few hundred per day and have noticed that my weight is again dropping. I knew I wasn't eating enough but it just seemed easier to eat less than worry about everything I put into my mouth. I got away with it for a few weeks and then my body protested! I am now working hard to get enough calories and feed my body. My goal is to look and feel healthy not to be skinny! :)

    Yes, it can be frustrating. When I first tracked food I had to add more protein. I haven't been tracking lately and of course the weight is stalled. So I need to get started again. Keep up your good work and you will reach your goals. emoticon
