After a couple months of trying to workout at home with my small kids I joined the YMCA. The kids could have my attention all day but I just wanted 30 minutes to workout. Well to my youngest aged 2 & 3 this was not acceptable. They would beg me to stop & hang on me. I started working out after they went to bed but I ran into a problem with a lack of energy at that time of day & it quickly fizzled out.
2011 rolled in. The joining fee at the Y was just $11, how could we resist? The YMCA was calling my name. Our family joined on January 2nd. It was the best thing I have done for myself in years. I automatically felt more energy throughout the day. My mood was better and I fell in love with working out. I had my 1 month anniversary not that long ago and could not believe the difference it has made. I have lost 9 lbs. My body is stronger & even looking better! I have not changed my eating habits much since last Fall, just being more aware of portions but still eating all the foods I love. If you could feel what one month has done for me, you would commit to that this very moment. As my mom, an RN has said, "Your body was designed to be active and without a certain level of activity all your systems are effected." I am a believer!
