Resisted the Temptation!

I am so proud of myself! Although I was hungry while I was out and about running some errands I DID NOT turn into McDonalds and get chocolate chip cookies. I don't know why they are a mini addiction of mine. I discovered them while I was pregnant and ever since then I turn into McDonalds almost every time I drive by, but not today! Just knowing that I could resist them gave me that much more motivation.

And.... I weighed myself today and I've lost several pounds! The motivators just keep on coming:)

    emoticon for you! It's great when we're able to overcome such things. Mine at Christmastime is mint M&M's. I LOVE them and usually go through several bags through Nov./Dec. I just bought the first ones today, and that was because my grandson was so disappointed when he came yesterday and didn't find any in the can. I left my snack calories for a handful of them tonight, but the rest are for Jacob and Daniel!

What a great feeling when we win over temptations! I LOVE ice cream & for one of my teams challenges we had to give up one of our trigger foods for 6 weeks or is it 8? Either way, I've given up ice cream & don't seem to miss it. Even though my dh is eating a bowl of some right now!!!

We are stronger than food temptations!!!

I was able to workout 2 days in a row. That is a big accomplishment for me and I am so proud of myself for making the time. Not easy considering my "to do" list was HUGE! I am going to weigh myself tomorrow and hopefully my extra efforts has helped me make a little progress.

A year a half ago I won our family weight loss challenge and earned $450 for it! But a few months later I got pregnant and used that as an excuse to eat whatever I wanted. I gain 45 lbs. and I am now right back where I started:(. My husband is way for 2 months and I am going to try to make some noticeable changes in my weight and my fitness level before he returns. I am sure a slimmer and more fit wife will be a pleasant surprise when he gets home! Focusing on clean eating (I usually do, but making a major effort) and doing cardio daily. This is going to be tricky-I am basically a single mom until he returns, so time is limited. Hopefully I will start to see results soon!

    I'm right there with you!!! I have a husband who *leaves* for months at a time as well. You can do it!!! I have two under 3, and I feel ya. I'm here if you need to talk!!! About anything, I understand!!!

Take each day as it comes, try your hardest, and look to the next goal!!!

One more day!

Only one more day until we weigh-in at family reunion and I can't wait. Not because I am excited to see how much I lost compared to my family (although I am excited about that), but because I can a have a few cheat days and not feel so guilty. I am not going to pig out, mind you, but I am going to enjoy my vacation:)

This week at our family reunion, we have to weigh-in for our friendly family weight loss motivator we started in January. We were all supposed to try to lose at least 10% of our starting body weight. I have lost about 15% and I am hoping I can make that go up before Thursday. The only bummer is, I am a little bloated this week, so who knows what the scale will say. I don't think the rest of my family was as successful, which is kind of disappointing. All of us could have used a little weight loss to benefit our health.
