Jumpstart Challenge

I have been needing to add strength training to my routine for a while now but *gah* I don't wanna! I joined up the Jan. jumpstart ( on the 4th) and have been faithfully doing a video a day- lo and behold it has not yet killed me AND I enjoyed a 2 pound loss this week, breaking my gain 1/lose 1/maintain cycle of frustration. Can't say I enjoy training my core and swinging weights around but I like what the scale is saying today so I need to keep it up.

Spark Coach Task- "before" & "after"

I've lost 16 pounds (okay, I lost 17 and gained one back!) since August and the current SC task encourages us to dig out some "before" pictures. Obviously this is only a "before"and "during" picture because I have a long way to goal yet. I typically avoid cameras but I think it is possible to see some of my progress in these pictures. Mostly I have lost some in my face.

The first one is of my sons and me at a baseball game in June 2013.

    You can definitely tell you've lost - I'm like you, I can tell alot in my face as well - inherited from my Dad...LOL Sounds like you've found that weights are working - I HAVE to get back to that again!! Thanks for the reminder. emoticon
