Today was a 15 minute scheduled walk. I wasn't sure I felt well enough this morning, so I had a glass of water, and ate some yogurt first. It also gave the rain time to let up. :-)
Deciding I felt up to it then, I did my 5 minutes of warm-up exercises and then went out. I knew my pace was slow, but out there at all is better than not out there, and I still made the centre of the bridge before the beeper went off for me to turn back.

I am really tired today! I got a decent number of hours last night, but the tired is from the night before when I barely got four hours. I don't know why it works like that, but it does.
Well, the weather looks like it is brightening up, so hopefully we can stroll down to the pet store for the bird seed shortly. It will be hard to fit in later in the week, and I don't want to let the garden birds down. They will perch on the washing line pole and glare at me through the kitchen window if I do. LOL.
He must have pinched my apricots!
When we get back I kinda promised myself I'd clear up the papers and stuff off my kitchen table. I need to be able to do my paperwork and eat with the girls there, but for the last couple of weeks we haven't used it cos half the sitting room contents were piled on the table - catalogues, magazines, sewing stuff, you name it - because of a spider!
Yes, you read that correctly. I am not good about spiders. I can cope with the little ones, but we get the occasional wolf spider here, and I can't stand them. If one turns up it has to go, by fair means or foul, because I can't stay in the room if I know it is there. I have slept on the sitting room couch before now when spotting one in the wee hours that has run behind my wardrobe!
Well, it was about 10.30pm two Sunday evenings ago, when this enormous spider made his presence known in the sitting room. As the chase commenced, with me pulling furniture out when he ran behind chairs and shelves, piles of magazines etc had to be moved to make the chase easier, and pile by pile it gradually filled up the kitchen table. It took quite a while to corner him with the broom (I try and catch them in the soft broom bristles and throw them and the broom outside) but eventually it was done, and it was really late, so apart from putting the furniture back, we left the rest, and what with one thing and another the piles of stuff are still on the table! So today is the day I sort through it, ditch the old stuff, recycle what I can and store away what I'm keeping.
I can summon the energy for this I can! I can! :-)
Oooh! The Sun just came out! Yay!
Have a great day!

I'm already up to nearly two miles because of the walk to the doctor's for an 8.30am appointment after the short walk, and I still have shopping to do. Going to exceed three miles quite easily today I think.
Weights and Tigger are still shelved though. Things didn't go as well as I'd hoped with the doc. Two doctors examined me, and both agreed that there was something not quite right. Deep in the tissue there is a lot of tenderness, and it made me squeak when they were exploring it thoroughly from a variety of angles. The upshot is I have an appointment at the Breast Clinic on Thursday for further tests, including an ultrasound, mammogram, and if necessary a needle biopsy.
This bunny is not happy! :-(
There are positives in all of this. My older daughter was already planning a visit late this week, so she is driving up a little earlier than planned, arriving late Wed evening, so she can look after Tara and be supportive while I go through this. So at least I don't have to worry about that. :-)
And I can still walk! I will walk to the clinic. The appointment is at 8.50 am, rush hour, so the traffic will be bumper to bumper and it will be quicker to walk into town. It is about a forty-five minute walk door-to-door, and at the moment Bryony is determined to walk in with me and Tara and do some retail therapy with Tara while I get what needs doing done. I think I'll suggest that we leave home about 7.45am, so that we can take the slightly longer but more scenic route through Castle Park. It will be much more pleasant than walking on the pavements beside all those fume-spewing cars!
I'll need to pack a breakfast too. I can't eat first thing at the best of times, and this is not the best of times, but once I've been through all that my appetite will return and I'll be feeling weak and giddy through lack of food.
Sorry, just thinking aloud here, sort of. :-)
Oh well, not the best start to the week. Let's hope things improve from here. :-)
Have a great day everyone!
