I haven't blogged for two days, and yesterday I took a complete rest day. Spent the entire day Sparking and catching up on emails. It was wonderful, but the number of steps has to be seen to be believed! You don't want to know how little I moved yesterday. No you don't. You do? Really? Hmmm... OK then... (shuffles feet and scuffs the ground) I did 354 steps! Seriously! Even I couldn't believe it!
So, in sharp contrast, this morning I did:
15 minute walk
Active Health Stats:
Pace - 22 min mile
Calories - 71 (most burned so far)
Steps - 1779 (most steps so far)
Time - 0:17:14
Distance 0.80 miles (best distance so far)
That was lovely! Didn't race it. Just took my normal pace. Kept the pace up during the uphills, and sweated a bit on the return leg. (beaming smile)
Roll on tomorrow morning! Praying for a clean bill of health from the Doc so I can start up the rest of my routine again. I won't immediately restart the bootcamp even if I do get the all clear. I'll give myself a catch-up week first, build it up a bit.
Have a great day everyone!
EDIT: I just took my aerobic step out of the cupboard and did some (slow) stepping to three songs, so about ten minutes. It. Felt. Good!

Well, it makes a change from singing in the rain. LOL
Today I have not had to take painkillers because the pain has been within the bounds of bearable all day. I am even hoping to get to sleep tonight without them, though that does remain to be seen. :-)
I have finished the bladder infection antibiotics, but am still getting a little pain in that area. I couldn't get my urine test done today because the other antibiotics I'm still taking (for boobie) will mess up the results. However the doctor told me that the antibiotics I am still taking will also help my bladder if it still needs it, and that I have to wait for three days after completing the course before I can have the urine test done.
So, current plan is see the doctor on Monday, first thing, to have my boobie checked, and go back on the Thursday for the urine test. This is always assuming I don't get hit by anything else requiring meds in the meantime! I know! I know! But I don't want to tempt fate! LOL
What I have managed to do every day, more by luck than judgement, is keep walking. Not the actual Walking Plan of course, because I couldn't walk at any significant speed for several days, but thanks to trips to the doctor, the supermarkets and the pet store, I have racked up over my minimum steps each day, which is currently 3300.
Today I was able to walk at my normal shopping pace, so if I still continue to improve I plan to restart week 4 of my Warm Up Walking Plan on Sunday. Of course Tigger is still off limits until the Doctor says it is ok to bounce again, but getting the Walking Plan back on track will make me very happy. :-)
I'm so used to bouncing, dancing or stepping to music that the last few days have been quite hard, even though I felt so rough. I hear music and I want to move! I have been extremely good though, only the occasional swaying, and avoiding the faster songs as much as possible. :-)
Well, I am going to head off to watch one of my favourite comedies - The Big Bang Theory, followed by How I Met Your Mother and Accidentally On Purpose. Yes, it is American Comedy night on TV. :-)
Catch you all later, and if I still haven't gotten back to you yet, I will do soon. I made a big dent in my back emails and blog replies today and hope to finish catching up tomorrow.
Thanks again everyone for being here for me. I'm here for you guys too! :-)

Well, earlier today I was. You see...
When I woke up this morning the pain in my boobie was a bit less painful than yesterday, so that was a good start. After breakfast I walked, slowly, down to the Co-Op for some cash and milk, and told a friend down there what had been happening. Then came back to the house to drop off the milk and grab Tara for a slow walk to the petstore for the garden bird seed.
I took my painkillers before we left, and as we were leaving the house the sky was looking a bit threatening, so we grabbed our brollies before closing the front door. It was just as well we did because it started to rain before we reached the end of our road, and by the time we had crossed Ipswich Road it was raining heavily and splashing us, because of the vigour with which it was hitting the ground.
We decided to press on anyway, though Tara was a bit underdressed for the rain, in flipflops and a skirt.
We walked to the petstore, and by the time we reached it the rain was torrential and we were pretty wet, in spite of the brollies. Still, we had made it and we bought the birdseed and a couple of packs of suet pellets, and headed back home. As we were leaving the shopping area we both observed how miserable everyone looked. They were huddled in shop doorways, or under trees or bridges, and there was not a single smile to be seen, except ours. I told Tara that they probably think we're drunk or on drugs, the way we were laughing and joking as we walked along.
Halfway home we paused under a bridge so that I could grab a drink of water, and for the rest of the walk back we stomped in puddles to see who could soak the other the worse. Yes, we had a footsie water fight! LOL It was such good fun and, one might say, 'just what the doctor ordered'. :-)
The thing that made me laugh the loudest was when we reached our gate, and Tara ran down the path to the house, as though it would save her from getting any wetter, when we were already totally drenched from head to foot!
The bathroom hanger is testimony to the fact that we had to change everything we were wearing. Not one item of clothing escaped the soaking! LOL
It was fun though, really good fun! And the best bit was that the Thunder and Lightning waited till we were safely home before starting. :-)

...I have just got back from the doctors' surgery. I kept waking up during the night with pain in my chest, and when I got up this morning I realised that I had a large lump in my right breast that was so sore I couldn't bear to touch it!
The doctor thinks it is an infection in the soft tissue and has given me antibiotics and strong painkillers to try and fix it.
On top of the bladder infection, for which I am still taking antibiotics, this has come as quite a blow! Needless to say I am unable to do any exercise at all for a few days at least, though the doctor said light walking will be fine if I feel well enough. As I feel like I have a bad dose of flu because of the infections, and I'm fighting sleep because of the painkillers, I doubt the pavements will see much of me for a while.
Poor Tigger has to be put away until my chest is better. No weights, no bouncing. Doctor's orders, not that I needed telling. I found my inner Tigger and now he's in the cupboard till further notice! I can't do my Bootcamp or anything.
So, guess where I wound up after getting my antibiotics from the chemist. Yep! Tesco Express, for two yummy doughnuts. I don't know whether they are a reward to me for all my July efforts, or a consolation prize for being ill. (Probably both!)Whatever they are, I had one with a cuppa when we got home, and will enjoy the other one tomorrow, and then go back to my peanut butter and banana on multigrain bread ensemble.
At least I can still try and keep on top of my nutrition, doughnuts notwithstanding.
It is just so disappointing to be shelved like this. (growl)
Please, please, please be having a better day than me everyone!
