Bought a new camera, for work, but also for a bit of a play from time to time. Thing is, I have never owned a digital camera, so I am on a fast track learning curve with it.
These were taken using the 'through glass' setting, so I could take pics from the kitchen window without disturbing the birds:
Couldn't get this pidge to face the camera.
Hmmm, the rest of the pics are too large to save to Sparkpeople...
Looks like my next job is learning about picture sizes! :-)
Enjoy your day!
P.S: More in my next blog. Trip to Oxford pics and some news!

I ordered a couple because they were really cheap (less than £4) at Play.com. The first one arrived this morning, called Dance Off Fat Fast. It consists of five 10-minute dance workouts that are based on really varied influences - retro, ballet and modern disco to name three.
For someone doing a 10-min exercise streak, these are ideal.
I had already done 30 mins with Leslie, and three Just Dance songs this morning, but couldn't resist giving this DVD a go after a bit of a rest, so I did two sections.
It is really good fun! I did the first two sections, and was sweating nicely by the end. It is deceptively hard work, specially the ballet one, I'm guessing - that will be murder on my legs! If I can pluck up the courage to try it. LOL
The nicest thing about this DVD, is that you can just do one section, or play the whole lot, or mix and match them to suit your dance style, the amount of exercise time you have, or to target a specific area of your body.
Liking! :-) Hope the other one is as good when it arrives.
And talking of DVDs, I've been working my way through the Leslie Sansone WATP 7 Day Calorie Blast. One a day since it arrived. So I've done 4 of the 7 so far. Tomorrow and Thursday should be interesting as the next two workouts are targetted at the upper and lower body respectively. And I notice that she is lying on a mat in one of the pics. Hmmm... Hoping that is just for the stretching, cos you know how much I love being on the floor! LOL
In the meantime, her DVDs are harder work than the online stuff! Which is a good thing... Honest! :-) My hips and thighs are really feeling it, but in a good way - I hope! LOL
Yesterday I tested whether I could exercise and then do a long walk. Turns out I could! 30 min Leslie Sansone, and three Just dance songs, followed by a 12,000 step walk to Tara's college for a meeting, then town and finally Waitrose before going home.
Total step count 17572!
It was a good day. :-)
AND, I managed an hour of exercise today.

I was lucky enough to get a secondhand set of Jane Fonda's Step Aerobic video and Aerobic Steps back when Tara was a baby, so 15 years ago, more or less.
Took me a few weeks to build up to a full session on a decent step height, and I was in my mid 30s at the time.
Fast forward several house moves, and losing the whole kit 'n' caboodle during one of the moves, and one day a Sparkteam member on London and the South East mentioned her videos were on You Tube.
Sadly, not the step aerobic one I had, but a couple of walking aerobic ones are there, among others, so I thought I'd see how she makes out against my walking fave - Leslie Sansone
This is Jane Fonda's Walking Cardio Workout: Level 1 Video:
And this is her Walking Cardio Workout: Level 2:
I don't know how long ago these videos were made (she is now 75), but she lets slip during one of the two videos that she has had her left knee replaced, AND her right hip!
Well, I was able to keep up comfortably with her during the level 1 video, but betcha by golly wow! Level 2 had me huffing and puffing and struggling to keep up by the end! It was a terrific workout!
My only slight criticism is that she doesn't tend to keep to the beat of the music, which I find a tad distracting at times.
Other than that, she has you working good and hard, and they are well worth trying out. 18-20 minutes of aerobics and 6-8 mins of stretches after. A complete workout in each video.
I am finding more and more these days that You Tube is an absolute goldmine of Exercise videos. If someone has come up with an exercise routine, chances are there is something available on You Tube these days.
Why don't you have a poke around and see what there is. You may be pleasantly surprised! :-)
