Just keep swimming

Some days I'm Dory from Finding Nemo... I have to just keep swimming, swimming, swimming, what do we do we swim! So today, I'm going to just keep moving, moving, moving! and keep tracking, tracking, tracking.. what do we do we move and track, move and track! LOL.

I know if I'm persistent I will get back into my groove.

Back from vacation!

I love a vacation, time to reconnect with my husband, my kids and myself. I took some alone time out on the balcony with my bible to check out my priorities and where I have been and where I am going. God has been so good! He has blessed me more than I dared ever dream. I have a loving, wonderful, supportive husband, two terrific healthy children, I am healthy and fit and getting fitter. What more could a girl want?!

I am not sure exactly how but somehow while I was away, I received a few spark rewards.. for consistency and something else. Well I was consistent most of the month. Time to get back on track and be consistent again!

Married 12 years today

So today is my 12 year wedding anniversary! I told my husband I feel like it has been our best year. The kids are at great ages, and can do things on their own, yet still think we are okay to hang out with, and I feel like he and I really gel. We are in a nice groove where he gets me where sometimes we used to fight, like about my running and trying to get into shape. He used to fight me tooth and nail.. he thought if I got skinny I'd leave him. I don't know why he's so insecure, he's the love of my life. Anyway, we gel now. I get him better too. I feel like we've grown in different ways and together all at the same time. I couldn't be happier.

Our daughter made us a beautiful card that took 4 pieces of paper! It is so beautiful.

Only 6 days left until my 1/2 marathon. I am to run 12 miles today. My running partner got hurt yesterday.. she has to be off her hurt leg for 4 days. She fell from a ladder. I'm praising God she didn't actually break anything.

I've been eating right and doing my thing, not exactly loosing any weight but I have stayed at my steady weight. I was really hoping to loose 5 more pounds. I'll just have to worry about the rest of it when this 1/2 marathon is over. One thing at a time.

It IS very exciting to get back into clothes I have not worn in years!!!! I picked up this stack of pants from the back of the closet, some out of style.. but they all fit! Very exciting!

I think that's all I have for today. I'm just praising God for all of the good things in my life. There are so many!

    I think I know where I have gone wrong.. School starting has been terrible. I do a lot of volunteer work for school in addition to coaching a girls on the run here. Oh and did I mention I work 2 part time jobs so more than 50 hours a week. I have sort of given up my mid week cross training thinking I'd have more sanity.. but I think it has made me slower.. my endurance is not what it was a month ago. So all this week, 30 minutes of something in the evening.. not running! I think this will make the difference in my endurance. My daughter loves it when we Wii dance.. so that's the plan. Some Wii dance tonight!!! 30 minutes and I have to wear shorts and a tank because it gets HOT in here with all that jumping around.

Falling Off The Consistancy Wagon

So these last 3 days I've fallen off my consistency wagon. I need to get back to it. 11 days until my 1/2 marathon. I was hoping to loose a few more pounds before that too, but my appetite seems to be getting the better of me here.

Positive attitude = Positive results!

I think I'm going to repeat that all day today so I quit saying negative thoughts to myself.

I've been incredibly busy with my personal life. I have to make some changes there. Well I think this week will be less busy. I sell apparel for our school at sporting events, as a fund raiser for the school. I am a volunteer. I think I need more help. I currently have a lady that helps me so that's a switch. I think I need more. Someone that can take an entire event off my hands. We will see. That has taken on a life of its own. I coach a Girls on the Run group at my kids school, so my daughter can be involved in this fabulous program. My daughter is in dance, both kids are in scouts, cub scouts and brownies. I work full time! I feel like I'm running around everywhere and treading water. I have gotten all of my runs in but cross-training? what is that?

Positive attitude = positive results!

It is my mantra to get through these next few days.

I love my spark friends, so inspiring!

I will eat more fruits and veggies today. I will drink all of my water today. I will run 4 miles today!

I am going to have a great day!

21 days left till 1/2 marathon.. so much going on.

Wow only 21 days until my 1/2 marathon! I have 12 miles to do today.. then I start my down turn for the 1/2. Efforts to watch my intake seems to require my full time concentration. Oyi!

Two people stopped me yesterday and said, have you lost weight? Why yes I have. Isn't that like the BEST feeling! So I told them ALLLL about Sparkpeople.com.

I'm down to 131.2 this morning! WOW! I'd like to see 129 on the scale (-: but I don't have to. I just need to keep fitting into my clothes and working on this muffin top.

Speaking of my muffin top, I checked out of the library Jillian Michael's 30 day shred in hopes to work out my muffin top a little. I've not had a chance to watch it yet. This is what happens when the kids start school. I loose all sorts of time to the mornings, the afternoons, homework and activities! I've not managed to cross train much at all this week. I'm looking forward to my 12 miles today. I need it (-: Time for me to myself to just be outside.
