What a beautiful day it is today. The sun is shining and with all the snow we got yesterday everything is white - the trees look amazing. It looks like a postcard picture. But it is cold - only 21 degrees out.

Didn't go to the food tasting for my son's wedding yesterday - it was cancelled due to snow - we got over 30cm. Not sure when it will be rescheduled to hopefully not while we are away.

Going out now to soak up some of the sun - even if it is cold out it still feels good to have the sun on your face!

We are getting walloped with snow as I type - and it is only the beginning. It's supposed to calm down a bit overnight and then come back with a vengenance around noon tomorrow. Forecast - snow, snow and more snow for over 36 hours. Did nobody tell mother nature we are now in March!!!

Have to look at the good side of this - the snow is light and it has to be moved. So instead of the normal cardio workout I will be out shovelling the snow. The amount that is supposed to come down will mean I will be out there doing it more than once or twice - predicting at least 30 cm but probably more.

Supposed to go to the hall where my son's wedding is going to be to have a food tasting tomorrow night - but think that is going to end up being cancelled. Maybe a good thing - I'm sure I would have eaten too many calories - wedding food isn't known for being healthy and when you have to have a taste of all the selections.... Especially desserts - which I don't even usually eat - don't have a sweet tooth at all.

Here's hoping we aren't buried under completely for the rest of the weekend.

    I too enjoyed the snow as cardio...at first LOL! But enough is enough, right? Take care not to overdo!

weigh in - frustrated!!!!!!

Only lost 1lb this week - getting a little frustrated with this! Last week up .5 the previous week down .5 so over 3 weeks only 1 lb lost!!!!!!

I guess the good news is I'm down 2.75 inches from last week and down 7.25 from 3 weeks ago. I know that muscle weighs more than fat but I would still would like to see the numbers actually change on the scale.

Have my physical next week and will discuss this with the Dr. I know meds I'm on make very hard to lose weight, usually make you gain, but this is ridiculous.

Rant over. I'm sure I will post a more up-beat note tonight!

    I know stepping on the scale and not seeing any change is discouraging. Hang in there. As long as you keep doing the right things it will come off.

12 hr fasting

Have to go for some blood tests tomorrow - yech. I hate giving blood - they never listen - I tell them it only works if they use one arm but hey - I don't know anything - so they always try the wrong arm first - then they end up using the arm I told them to. End up with two bruises for the price of one!

But I have to look on the bright side - means I have to fast for at least 12 hrs and tomorrow morning is weigh in day.

That might help the # I see on the scale - has to be better than last two weeks. I've been really good this week and have been doing my exercises and cardio daily.

    I am the exact same way. When I have blood drawn, I tell the nurse that I am a hard stick and show them that it tends to work best on the back of my hand They seem to take it as a personal challenge. They slap, pock, and prod until they look at me and say "Now, where did you say they take blood?" Very frustrating!

    My daughter has to have blood drawn also and she can't eat after 12 but she doesn't need to lose weight...we are working on her gaining weight. LOL

I did my strength exercises and my cardio last night so felt good starting the day out today. But by the end of the day... stressed out - staff problems etc - not the greatest thing to have to deal with - but it is part of the job I guess. When I took on office management position I didn't realize the full scope of it - if I had I would have insisted on a raise.

Good thing I had carrots and celery on hand to munch out on (with a laughing cow lite cheese to dip them in).

Being prepared for these kind of situations is one of the tools I learnt from SP and make sure I always have good food on hand. Otherwise I would be in the cafe downstairs buying chips.

Here's hoping tomorrow is a better day!
