Good so far today

Am doing really good today - even though I was a bit stressed at work. Receptionist went home sick and the backup receptionist was doing work away from the office - so as Office Mgr I got to be receptionist this afternoon. Not fun - but someone has to do it. Just meant I couldn't access my files to do my own work. Also, being off yesterday means I'm only farther behind.

Kept well within calorie range - yeah!!! Also, joined a new Sparks Team today - Southern Ontario - looks like a pretty good site that has members that seem to be a great group by the posts I've seen so far. Looking forward to making more friends.

That's it for the day - not much - just keeping up with my goal to blog at least once a day.

  


Bad Day - Good Day!

Decided to do our income taxes today (yeah I know - what a thing to do on a vacation day). Well it certainly made the day start off as a BAD DAY! Turns out hubby barely gets anything back and I have to pay almost 3x what he gets back!!! Not the result I was looking for. Wanted some money to use on our cruise. Not much you can do about it though! Will just put off paying it until the very last moment.

Went and got a haircut today - to brighten my mood. Since I've lost weight my face has really thinned out so needed something that didn't drag it down so much. Really happy with the results. Also really warm out - took advantage of the weather and did my cardio by breaking up the ice on the driveway and shovelling a path through tot he back door - GOOD DAY!

I guess everything always evens out in the end - the good and the bad. Hey, if we never had the bad we wouldn't appreciate the good as much.

I decided to take the weekend off - no counting calories etc. It was kind of nice for a change - but I'm back now. Even though I didn't count for the most part I ate well. Even made some homemade mac & cheese w/ reduced calorie ingredients - tasted pretty good.

Decided to take a vacation day today - still have 4 left from 07. Going to do the income taxes for me and hubby and then going out to get a haircut. A nice quiet me day!

A weekend off!

I have decided to take the weekend off - not count calories - not exercise - just enjoy. Haven't done this since December and think I need it and hell yes - I deserve it! Going to log out now and won't come back to the site until Monday. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I weighed in this morning - almost picked up the scale and opened the back door to see how far I could toss the #!$% thing.

Couldn't believe it. Last week I was only down 1/2 a pound so made sure this week I was good - stayed well within calorie range and exercised - What happens - the damn needle went up a 1/2 pound - the same 1/2 pound I was so annoyed with only losing last week.

So I have only lost 3 lbs in total over 3 weeks. I thought I was doing so well and now this brick wall is in the way of my going any further. For a moment I thought this isn't worth the aggravation - face it - you can't lose weight. But then I got over it - decided I had to look at the good news in all of this. In those same 3 weeks I lost 1.5 inches off of my waist and almost an inch off of my hips.

Well, time to start another week, with more determination than ever. I will keep repeating my mantra to myself everytime I'm feeling like this - I can do this - I will do this!

    Loosing a pound a wk is a good thing, and to top that off, you lost inches as well, thats awesome. Maybe you need to change something up in your exercise routine, our bodies get used to the same things and dont respond as well. You CAN do this....
