Sorry guys, I'm a little picture happy today, I guess! lol I'm staying close by my pets as they're both recovering from surgery! Poor things got neutered and spayed yesterday. :( They are both really small animals and they are still pretty doped up! Neither one of them have moved much today and just keep looking at me with these pitiful eyes. I know I did the right thing but man, they're tugging at my heart strings!!

This is my chihuahua, Tux. He is cuddled up in his kennel under his blankie with his favorite toy! Bless his heart!


Here's my baby girl, Reece. She is the one who wakes me up by licking my face and kissing me every night! :)



And here's the one who got away lucky! lol She only had to have her teeth cleaned. Vet also said she needs to be on a diet now, too. Is there SP for kitties? She's not fat, she's just fluffy! emoticon

    They are all SO cute! I love chihuahua's (used to have one mixed with poodle) and I love calico cats,(had one about 20 years ago) but I'd also love kitty kisses. I hope they are all healed up by now. Don't know how I've missed your blogs, sorry about the late response. Take care!

    I know how you feel. When I had my cat, Beauty, spayed, I felt so bad. We hate to see our pets suffer, even a little bit, and even if we know it's the right thing to do. She's a little "fluffy" too. emoticon emoticon

Your beautiful furbabies will be a bit more quiet for a couple days, then things should get back to normal quickly. It really is the responsible thing to do.

    Love these pictures. Hopefully by now things will have returned to normal for them. I think it is somehow harder on the smaller animals (at least in my experience) as Maddy gets that "stoned" look about him when he has to be sedated each year for his dental! My cousin's husky/sheppard mix on the otherhand was spayed and rushed out of the clinic and wouldn't lie down at all like they suggested. She was just wild.

    So sweet -they will get their mojo back when the drug gets out of their system. That kitty looks a little big to me, time to get her on an exercise program! My Mom's cat looks huge, but is long haired so that makes her look that way, the real test is when they pick her up to see if she has gotten any heavier LOL. I say give her a shave and then you can tell easy.

    We just had Dog done a few weeks ago. The first day was really sad, but by day 3 it was like nothing had happened. Hopefully you're furbabies will recover just as quickly.

    AWWW - thanks for the pics! I have two chihuahuas. The biggest problem after they were spayed/neutered was keeping them still! After that first day they both thought they should run, jump, and do all their usual tricks, despite what the vet told me.

Learning to Cook! Go Me!!

You guys would be proud of me! I'm learning to cook and it's actually...fun!! Shhh, don't tell my mom! emoticon

This is a picture of my Pecan Crusted Maple Chicken from the other night. It was really good and made my house smell amazing! I know you'll like this one TEMPEST!!

I also whooped up this amazing soup thanks to MOMMA_LITTLE! My kids loved it! It will definitely become a new staple in this household!! Easy and oh, so good!

    Good job! I was never allowed to cook (honestly) growing up and since I didn't move out until I was 34 (when I got married) I was very hesitant to try anything. Slowly but surely I collected a few basic recipes that I could master and that were healthy. Your recipes look delicious. Good for you for taking the plunge and for setting a good example for the children

    emoticon I didn't cook for years, but when I retired, I had lots of time on my hand so searched the net and became a domestic goddess too! I loved it, and 5 years later (and working again, could only take the SAHM thing for a few months...lol way too much time on my hands) anyhow, I love cooking and trying new recipes. Hubby even started cooking last summer when I had my surgeries, and still cooks a few nights a week. I am loving it!
That chicken looks super yummy. Printed the recipe and will have to make that this week!

    Wow, that chicken looks so yummy that you know I'll be trying it out next week. I didn't cook for the longest time. It's really just in the past year - searching for tasty low-cal food - that I've started cooking. I like it too! Surprise! My most recent recipe was a Lemon Chiffon Pie that was exquisite & only 120 cal each - from that Splenda recipe book I reviewed a couple blogs back. You should see if your library has it & check it out.

GREAT results from my Dr!!

First off, I want to give a big THANKS to everyone who who gave me input on my mission to quit smoking. It has been a HUGE help! I've already joined an online support group and a new SP team that were both mentioned by some SP friends. I've also ordered myself some electronic cigarettes which should be arriving in the mail tomorrow. I researched several methods of quitting and considered all of the advice. I'm very optimistic and can't wait to finally become smoke free! emoticon emoticon

I've also been queen of productivity today! I wanted to get a lot accomplished so that I could enjoy my vacation! First thing I checked off my to-do list was completing my application to the master's program I'm hoping to attend! After that, I shined my sink like a good fly-baby :) Then it was off to my yearly wellness check-up. Which went GREAT....

Doc was very impressed by my weight-loss since last year. I officially lost 36 pounds according to her records!!! She thought that was awesome and congratulated me 10x's over. It was a great feeling to hear that all my hard work is paying off! emoticon

She said I only had 7 more lbs to lose!! WHICH...reaffirms that I'm dead on with my goal weight! Now I know that the suggestions by some certain people to stop losing weight before I "blow away" are silly and not to be listened to!

We also discussed quitting smoking and she thought my plan was solid. I'm on the right track! emoticon

I treated myself to a nice reward afterwards by buying a new purse and Bob Harper's Kettlebell w/ DVD included! (which I've been wanting for months!) emoticon emoticon

I took my daughter to clogging and my son to his soccer practice...and to top it all off I did 2 loads of laundry and cleaned my kitchen and living room! I feel so domestic. lol! emoticon

Overall, it's been quite and awesome day! Now time to catch up on my blogs and feed my facebook addiction! haha ;)! I always feel bad blogging before I read your guys' blogs but I just couldn't wait to tell you the awesome results of my check-up! Spark on friends, spark on!

Dear Chris,

When I think of you, sometimes I cry, sometimes I laugh, but most of the time I just think of what an impact you had on my life and smile. I cannot begin to thank you for the many ways you have blessed my life. The one thing I can do is show you, though.
