I have to admit, being in a ''real'' relationship since the passing of my last boyfriend has proved to be more challenging than I thought. Sure, I knew that it would be difficult but I thought I had it together...I thought I was ready to "move on" (ugh I hate those words) without any problems because I knew that that's what he would want me to do. He wouldn't want me staying home all of the time and would want me to find love again. This I know to be true but have found how hard it is to do! I try not to compare other guys to him and for the most part I don't. In some ways I do, but is that a bad thing? I know what I want and I know that if I found it once, by golly there's gotta be other guys that possess those same traits! I know not all of them are going to cook as good as he did, or fly kites as well as he did, or write poetry like he did but there's hope in the fact that I may find one that doesn't hog the bed like he did too! lol With all of my insecurities about new relationships I do know one thing. I'm happy today. Tomorrow is not promised so why fret about it? Why worry that this relationship lacks this, or that this boyfriend doesn't possess this certain trait, if I'm happy in the now then why question it. Things will fall into place as they should. God will make sure of that. In the meantime, I know I have wonderful friends here at Spark who even if they don't understand what I'm going through, they are here for me with virtual hug at the drop of a dime. And one thing's for sure, I have one wonderful boyfriend who has proven that he is here through all of the dips and curves in my emotions and all of my insecurities and fears because he cares. I am so lucky for that. He told me that he knows he has stepped onto a roller coaster, but that he's securely fastened for the ride. Ladies and gentlemen, boyfriends and friends, please keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times and do not get up until it has come to a full and complete stop! LOL

Birthday Weekend and random stuff

Jillian Michaels posted this on her facebook and I just had to share it!

Today my step-daughter celebrates her 13th birthday! She is officially a teenager now! hehe. Her brother also reminded me that he will be driving in 11 months now so I have a feeling me and their mother are going to have our hands full!

She's chosen to celebrate her birthday at this pizza buffet / arcade, mostly because she knows they won't sing to her there, lol. I'm trying to save my calories and plan on making myself a big salad to start with and hopefully fill up on that first!

I just wanted to take a quick minute to express my gratitude for all of your comments and likes on my most popular blog post. The response I've gotten has been tremendous! I'm SO excited about all of the new friends I'm making and all of the awesome comments being left. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!! I've been on cloud nine all week, just floating! The cool part is that Spark People recognized ME! Little ol' me! Those little consistency awards are nice but to get recognition from Spark by linking my page to one of their main pages is mind-blowingly AWESOME!!!! I can't begin to describe it! They are using ME, MY page for a major link for motivation to their web site. What AN HONOR!!!! I'm overwhelmed with joy and excitement and can't thank you guys enough. Thank you Spark People and thank you to ALL of my spark friends! I'm completely honored!

Another thing I'm excited about?! I put the link up for my family to see and my sister and parents have stopped by and are SO PROUD of me!!!! This, my friends, is the best part of it all!
