So, since I weighed in on Thursday last week before my move, I decided to weigh in today to make it a full week. Mostly because I'm curious but also due to my TOM looming on the horizon. I won't weigh myself until it's done just to save my sanity, methinks. For reals this time. LOL.
But, even though I couldn't track over the weekend and was doing no cardio but moving stuff up and down stairs I was still down 1.8 lbs this week! My biggest weekly loss yet. :) I even ate a pretty late dinner and snacky last night. I feel pretty awesome right now. :)
I did my kbells last night (only 20 min instead of the planned 40 - Foster Norman's adopted momma came to visit him, he leaves in about a month for his new home!) and then hopped on the bike and did the 3.7 miles or so to Aaron's place. Hills were tough since I think I'm still a little sore from my run Tuesday.
Now, I need to bike home (or I'm trapped here!) so I'm going to take a hot shower with minty muscle relaxing scrub to help my legs and then hop on the bike and head home. I want to run today but I know I'll have to take it slow if I do. And make Friday a real rest day, too.
As for the apt: today LAUNDRY is a top priority! My new hamper is loaded. I'm just going to a laundromat since my new place is charging $1.25 a load??! Wha?? It'll be more pricey at the 'mat but I can do it all at once in huge machines and save time. Time is more important than money currently. Heh.
Then, I want to get the travel rat cage cleaned and stored in my closet, the metro rack build and put in the closet and get my craft stuff on those shelves and off my floors! Rat stuff needs to get put away and less often used stuff need to be stored in an accessible place in the closet. Basically, the only place I can store stuff I don't need right now is my huge closet of doom. LOL.
Got to move my dresser to the side it'll live on and adjust the bed, too.
Not too much left to do!
Hrm.
I wonder if the laundromat has free wifi?
It's SO lame that no one at my building is "sharing". ;)

I called it the 'Inspired by HEZLIZZIE' 5k and it was done on her birthday to be extra appropriate.
Went to Target to get some running socks and another pair of running pants. Down to a small now... and I got the slim fitting ones. :) They have a butt pocket! Over the base of your spine there is a little pocket that zips up. How clever is that? I tucked my keys and my phone into my bootie pocket and hit the trail in the park near my new place. GORGEOUS. You run a loop around a lovely pond - lots of people there walking pooches, fishing off the dock, taking walks. A really beautiful place to run. :) Hilly, much hillier than my old path through the neighborhoods near my old apt, but I actually like how that added some extra challenges.
I ran the 2.25 I'd intended but just couldn't bring myself to walk. I wanted to do a full 3.1 miles ... so I did. Clocked in at 33-34 min. Not too shabby! I generally felt good during the run. Surprisingly, it's the first mile that is the hardest? As time went on it got easier. Maybe I got slower. LOL.
Should be a very nice place to get my runs in. There are also nice neighborhoods across from my building (some with HUGE flipping mountains you need to go up) to vary my route. YAY.
Also, whilst at Target, I tried on a size 8 pant on a whim. I chose some cotton/poly blend denim capris which possibly weren't the best choice to see if I can wear an 8 jeans. Jeans seem stretchier than these guys were. They zipped up and fit really well through the legs/hips/butt... a tiny bit of muffin top at the waist. Getting there. ;) I'll bet if I'd been able to grab a smaller size in the jeans styles I wear, I'd be able to wear them no problem. Also, it's PMSville *singsongs* so I'm assuming I'm a bit puffy. LOL. If I'm not an 8 now, I will be by mid June. Count on it. ;)
Anyway, got some stuff unpacked (and then stored in the closet) and had a productive evening.
Pretty good. :)

Well, everything is moved.
A few things are still in the van and will be toted in the apt. tomorrow but that's negligible. Mostly rugs and such. Bah.
O. M. G.
I'm ridiculously tired and semi-panicked that by getting off my usual schedule of tracking food and working out that I'll have derailed my efforts. *weep* Still, I ate reasonably well this weekend and I don't think I went over my calories at all. If I did, it was tiny amounts and I was DEFINITELY not just sitting on my bum all weekend. LOL. I think I ran about a billion flights of stairs. Ow. My bootie and thighs hurt. ;)
My living room is basically all set up, just need to finish getting rat stuff into the new cabinet I got to hold their things. Man, they couldn't have more toys/towels/fleece/hammocks/treats if they tried. I need to get another big giant seagrass basket to toss on top of the cabinet to hold overflow hammocks. Spoiled. Rats.
Kitchen is 98% done. Need to hang my pot rack and get the pots on it and hangs some small hooks to hold measuring cups/spoons near the sink. Whew. All the food is in the new pantries and looking so sharp!
Wasn't going to get a new entertainment center, as the ex-husband left a nice giant one behind. Turns out it's a piece of crap(!) and fell apart faster than my marriage when they tried to lug it down the stairs. I guess Aaron couldn't even find a place to grab as it disintergrated in his hands. Almost smooshed my Dad. Aaron's reaction: "it broke". I asked Dad if he responded "really? Did it?" as he was surrounded by kindling. I'm sure it was hilarious to see... I'm glad ex-husband didn't want it back. It would have looked awfully passive aggressive to leave bits of his center on his lawn. Heh. Mom and I were back at home building furniture while punchdrunk and insane. Collapsing into helpless giggling over furniture plans = you might need sleep.
I haven't gotten enough sleep, have been eating at odd intervals (but mostly veggies/tofu/whole grains... so that's good) and have been killing my back but I'm generally okay. I need to get my bedroom put together and I think that'll be the end of my unpacking. Giant closet + shelving racks FTW! Just need to get all my crafty stuff in place and figure out how exactly I'm laying out the room. Sleeping on a mattress on the floor until my bed is made, Scott says end of June and I'll have my pretty bed!
Animals took the move pretty well.
The cats were royally wigged until it quieted down and they saw my makeshift blankets on the floor and realized I wasn't dumping them. They seem well adjusted now and Norman's bladder infection seems to be cleared, no more peeing outside the box and no more bloody urine.
In rat news, Jack lives with the big rats now (yay) and finally seems comfortable with them. Caught him crashed out with Jakey in a hammock today. Of course giant Jakey was using little baby Jack as a pillow. *eyeroll* Silly rats. Everyone's been dosed with Revolution and Jack is less itchy. So, I think my furbabies are all squared away.
Just have to unpack tomorrow after work. Taking a day off to recover my leg muscles and then Tuesday I'm hitting the park for a jog after work. I'm 98% sure I'll do a 5K in about two weeks. ACK. Must train.
Looking forward to getting back in my groove again.

YAY.
Finally got to two miles back to back.
Ran with my lovely SO and had a great time. He brought along his teeny digital music player so we got to jam to Dr. Horrible soundtrack while running. Excellent! I now have all the songs in my dang head but I love the show so much I don't care. Hee.
Our time was pretty darn good, too. I went into the run saying "I don't care how long it takes, I just want to finish the two miles". I cared a little bit about how long it took but I was DEFINITELY more interested in proving I had the endurance to run two together.
First mile was about 10:50. We felt really good after that, tired but not inclined to stop. YAY. We pushed on and decided to do some interval work - one block faster, next block slower, next block faster, next slower, next REALLY fast, next slow and so on. We did a couple half block sprints, too, to build up some endurance. Second mile clocked in at about 10:30. Total time for our run was 21:24ish for the two miles.
We were tired (and ravenous!) after our run but both of us weren't really sore and recovered really quickly during the cool down walk. And then we attacked our veggie dogs, black eyed peas and broccoli like crazy veg*n sharks. NOM NOM NOM.
Next run I want to add a third mile after the two. Run two, walk 10 min, run 3rd mile. Then I'll work on dropping the walking interval down until I'm doing three miles all at once. Next up, 5Kville! Kristina is running one in mid June and I'm really considering doing it with her. EEK.
Final goal speed/distance is 3 miles in under 30 min. I can do it!
GAH, I'm off the rest of this week to pack/move!
Gotta hop in Aaron's shower, walk home and get cracking.
We're definitely taking stuff to the thrift store today, yay.
So. Close. Want to be. Done. Moving. *pant*
Oh, I did a weigh in today, just in case I'm too nuts to do it on my normal Saturday. Down about 1.1 lbs since Saturday. Yay. I'm under 160 by the skin of my teeth. YAY. I'm calling that 15lbs lost now. Can I get a Woot Woot?

So, today I decided to shorten my walking interval again. From three minutes between miles to two. First of all, wow, two minutes goes by fast! Secondly, I RAN AN EIGHT MINUTE MILE TODAY! (well, 8:05 if we're getting technical) Holy carp. I can't believe it.
I did my (oh so fast... sigh...) two minute walking interval, then kicked off my second mile. I was shooting for under 10 but ended up with a 10.5 minute mile. Still, not shabby considering my crazy day yesterday and that crazy fast first mile.
I'm so proud of myself right now.
Once I get to running the two miles back to back I'll make sure to slow down and pace myself. There is no way I could run two miles at 8 min each yet. I'd be forced to stop and puke, for sure. I felt not too bad after that first mile, though. Pretty tired and hungry after number two, though.
Nomming chili currently. NOM NOM.
Still, making some real progress with my running speed and stamina.
I even have been adding an extra block to my lap the last few runs to make darn sure I'm doing a full mile. :D
I feel so strong.
