HI!!! I'M BACK.

I haven't been on in awhile. I have been eating what i want and look i gained 8 lbs. Terrible. I am going to start tracking what i eat again. This morning I got out my Brita Water Pitcher and I have been drinking water this morning.

FRUITS & VEGETABLES

I went to the fruit & vegetable store in middle village today. They are much cheaper than the one on Fresh Pond Road near me. I bought pears for my daughter. She likes the brown ones like my father did. I also bought plums, cherries, green peppers, nectarines, blueberries, yellow apples, sweet potatoes & eggplant. I am really going to try and eat more fruit & vegetables instead of junk food. I really want to get down to a healthy BMI. I can't believe my BMI is in the obese range now. I don't want to have a heart attack or get another deadly disease. I am too young to be this heavy.

    Ooooh, you're making me hungry! With all those delectable fruits hanging around your house, I feel certain you'll want to eat them instead of junk. If not, can you send them over to my house? LOL!

    It is great that you found a place to buy fresh fruits and vegetables for a resonable price. It is sad that it cost more money to eat healthy than it does to eat fast food or junk food. I am also teetering in the obese range and I also don't like it. It is a long process and sometimes frustrating. I just have to keep moving forward. Keep up the good work. One of my favorite is sweet potato fried (in light margarine) until it is crisp. YUMMY!!

    Eating fresh fruits and veggies is a good way to start getting healthy!
Then add some kind of exercise and you will start dropping the pounds too.

HEY GUYS!

how is everyone doing today? it looks like rain here again today. i hope i can get in my 10,000 steps today. i am going up and down the stairs doing laundry and i am putting the clothes away piece by piece. i lost another pound when i weighed myself this morning. i have lost 6 pounds so far. i only started tracking my food since saturday. you don't know how much you are eating unless you write it down. i have also been trying to do 10,000 steps on my pedometer everyday too.

    Congratulations on losing another pound!! Don't let that scale dictate your life. I found if I weigh myself once a week at the same time that it is enough. It took me many years to get this heavy so I just have to have the patience to lose it. Never mind that I am older now is it is even harder. Then the meds I am on cause weight gain. There - so many excuses and it still comes down to me making healthy choices every day. Today I had a candy bar. Not sure how that was healthy but sometimes the body has to have what the body wants. I will have to do some extra gardening to burn it off tonight. I keep track of my food every day in the nutrion tracker and I LOVE IT!! Best of luck on your journey and welcome to Dysfunctional Families.
