emoticon Since I've been away I've let loose. That loseness played havoc on my health, but I am back in the game.

emoticon emoticon emoticon I have been back in the game since last Monday. I've lost 4 pounds and doing great with 5 day a week workouts and changing my eating habits. This time it feels different. I still feel excited, but I feel more encouraged to keep going.

emoticon Morning breakfast usually is Greek yogurt with frozen mixed berries and almonds or overnight oatmeal with geek yogurt, mixed berries and banana. Once in a great while I eat scrambled eggs with Turkey bacon and cheese with 12 grain bread, but I like something sweet in the morning. Also I feel fuller with the yogurt fruit combo.

emoticon Lunch is usually a grilled sweet chili wrap from work with half the sauce extra veggies and add some jalapenos. It fills me up for most of the hours while there. If I am at home I eat some sort of lean turkey sand which or a healthy choice microwaving food. Now just to let you know I'm not big on microwaved food, but I usually don't have a lot of time at work or off work.

emoticon Snack is an Apple, fruit or wheat thins and hummus.

emoticon Dinner depends on who is cooking. Most of the time it's me and its something on the healthier side. When hubby cooks is pizza, or chili dogs, or a huge bag of chicken Alfredo with garlic sticks. When he cooks I have to adjust my calorie intake a bit. He's just not a great cook. Lucky us it's only 1 to 2 nights a week if that.

emoticon As far as work outs go. Last week I did a fitness blender.com 5 day challenge. They sure do make you sweat a bunch. This week they released a new 5 day week challenge. It's day two today. It was awesome. Once this challenge is over I am thinking for the next few weeks to repeat this process of the 2 five day challenges, but I am also seriously leaning to buy one of their 8 week programs.

So for 2 weeks I have stayed within my calorie range, I have worked out 4 to 5 times a week and I have lost 5 pounds. So today i decided that I would reward myself in a rather unhealthy matter. I pretty much ate what ever I wanted. I know not the smartest move in my book, but I have decided I will not do that every time. I am currently working on reward goals that don't include a binge eating situation. I will post that later. For now I leave with this blog as a reminder to myself that I won't be doing that again anytime soon. Here's to another 5 pounds!

    yeah a binge day is probably not a good reward. I've done that, and gained 3lbs back in a day...that is how much my body hates me!

emoticon I ran across this last week on Pintrest and decided that this week i would make it. The sad thing it takes me so long to do. It cooks for 3hrs 45 min. Not including prep time. emoticon

    I am a corned beef addict. I just bought 4 packages the other day and will probably get a couple more. Some went into the freezer right away and I've got a nice big one just waiting until Monday morning when it goes into the crockpot. When I get home from work, it will be ready. I usually take a bit of water from the crockpot and put it in a pan with a nice chunk of cabbage and steam the cabbage until it is crunchy tender. Heavenly!!! Sometimes I add some nuked potatoes.

Also love reuben sandwiches, but I'm not sure I can find any rye bread around.

    Corned beef is one of my faves and we eat it year round. I like to have parsnips, carrots, turnips and rutabagas roasted as a side sometimes. I put my corned beef in the oven on 275 for about 5 hours (with just enough water to cover the bottom of the pan) tightly covered. Comes out fall apart tender and the house is warmed up and smells wonderful. Enjoy yours...it looks great!!
