Planning has to be apart of every great idea, goal, dream, wish and in this case a task. To attain the goal you must first set a plan of steps, a game plan, a blueprint a map. Knowing what the plan is you start your adventure. When there is a road block you re-plan, re-think, double check your map, and work around it. Having the right directions gets you there but a wrong turn might seem to be a short cut but the extra work may not have been worth the time. Always make a plan, always take time to rethink your plan, re-adjust what works and change what doesnt ....

plan your goals +rewards at work = happiness at work
plan your meals + great food choices = healthy body (family)
plan your free time + Fun time = special memories

We plan for our work life, our weddings, our kids parties, events of all kinds ... but planning for everyday takes work in the beginning ...I could not start anything with a plan.

Being prepared for the out come and making things happen according to the plan.

I have been preparing my household and lifestyle around a change ...
a 180degree change from days to nights... for me and living in a household with 2 completely different schedules, for me 3 or 4 nights and my hubby days mainly M-F 8-5 a Sat once in a while. This will take tons of planning for the meals and FREE time.

re-thinking meals
re-training for sleep hours
re-arranging the house hold to fit 2 different shifts

just planning for all these things help ease into a new routine for me and my family.
My husband is very supportive and understanding helping do what ever WE need to make things work.

DARK SIDE here I come...

Sunday, January 05, 2014

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I have been traded to the night shift .... will be starting 1/16 and working 36 hours which = 3 ~ 12 hour nights just the opposite of what I am currently working...

open to the new challenges but sleeping and eating look to be my biggest... when to eat breakfast and dinner ???

Sleep right after work ...and get up at after a 8-9 hours of sleep?
My DH is working 7am -5pm and I will be leaving for work about 5ish so on my work nights I wont see him ... a huge bummmmmer

the biggest upside is the opportunity I get to train and learn more things...so I am going into this with an open mind and willingness to try anything .....

would love input as to sleeping and eating that work for you on a night shift !?!?!?!

love n hugs Mic

Hmmmm, It's a matter of getting your body clock acclimated, but the hardest part is trying to be "normal" on the day's off - it gets you all out of whack again! I always had difficulty between 3am and 4:30 but then got a surge of energy by 6. You may find that plugging in exercise is going to help with sleep. I hope you find routines that work best for you.

HELLO Spark Quick Fire Team Mates....

As we move into the New Year 2014, we face are new challenges together. To reach our goals we make changes to the routines and fix what is not working.
I am re-stating this as a personal mantra... because I need to believe in what I say that change is every day... and you have to be open to things around you. with that being said I hope that you can please read this and be patience with the team as we make a few changes.

Not by choice, but by necessity.

Unfortunately my hours at my job are changing from day shift to nights and I know that everything in my life will be upside down for awhile from work, family time eating and sleeping and then to find time to sleep. I have not worked 2nd shift hours in over 25 years, but this will be different.... knowing that I will be making adjustments to my personal lifestyle and worklifestyle is why I am letting you as a Quick Fire Team Mate know that for the Month of January i will be posting the QFC once a WEEK. until I can find a routine and Lynn will be helping out and posting as needed please understand that I am just making things fit in and trying to have as little stress during the change from 25+year working days to going to nights.
thankyou for your understanding...
