May 18 Goals

Thanks for the support everyone! :-) I definitely need it! As we all do! :-)

I pretty much met all the goals...the only one I didn't "technically" meet was the getting to bed by 9:30pm! lol I did get IN my bed by 9:15 but I was putting together my Avon orders so I didn't even attempt to go to lay down until 9:45 and even then I watched the end of the show I got caught up in and then read my book for a little bit so I didn't actually try to go to sleep until about 10:15. Not so good. I will work on that tonight!

For today:
1. 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1400 calories
3. Plan meals for tomorrow
4. Strength training--50 wall pushups, 50 situps, 50 squats, and 25 leg lifts on each leg
5. Be in bed by 9:30pm

There are a few other goals, but since they aren't exactly SP/weight loss/health related I am not going to list them as I have plenty as it is! lol

May 17 Goals

Ummm, I didn't meet my water (only got 8), not sure on my calories as I didn't track, but I DID get the meals planned for today! lol

So for today:
1. 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1300 calories
3. Plan meals for tomorrow
4. Exercise for at least 15 mins
5. Be in bed by 9:30pm

I think I am starting to get sick so I going to go to bed at a decent hour (since I get up at 4:30am, even 9:30 is later than I probably should, but yeah know. lol) Need to get some things done today though. :-)

May 16 Goals

Yesterday's goals were pretty much met...I am not sure how many glasses of water I got, but I think it may have been only 8. I got 45 mins of exercise by bagging up leaves in the yard. I was sweating hard (part of it was cause it was hot outside, but I know I worked out because my back is feeling it this morning). While doing the leaves DH and I had a chat. I told him that we both had certain goals we wanted to meet and we were never going to get there if we kept going out to dinner. I told him we could go out once a month so we had to think carefully where we wanted to go. If we went out any other time than the first weekend of the month it would have to be to Subway or Pita's Republic, both healthy places that won't break the bank either! lol He agreed and our final discussion was on our daily food intake. I got him to agree that we are going to plan the entire days worth of meals the night before. Then we could get stuff out of the freezer if we needed to, we could get lunches and snacks ready for the next day and have a plan each night before bed. He agreed to this also. He is going to begin tracking his own food so he knows exactly how much he is eating each day. Hopefully this will help both of us reach our goals. I want to get to 130 by the end of the year. And he wants to get to 190 so he can join the Air Force Reserves. As for the birthday party...I only had 1 piece of pizza! No cake and no soda! They didn't have water either, so I just drank nothing until I got home. I think I did well! :-)

May 15 Goals

Yesterday I got the water and the exercise done. I got 3 scrapbook pages done and the invites written and mailed. Problem was, my calories...everything would have been fine had it not been for my husband sabotaging my day. He decided we needed to celebrate because the puppy does not need surgery. And instead of me putting my foot down and sticking with my original plan for the day I fell into the trap and we went out to eat. I think I made a decent decision and only ate half, but still I am up 1 pound today so apparently I didn't do something right. :-(

My action plan for today:
1. Drink 10 glasses of water
2. Exercise for 30 minutes
3. Have a sit down with DH about my goals, his goals, sabotaging things and what our action plan is for at least the remainder of this month.
4. We have a birthday party to go to this afternoon so my guess is there will be pizza for dinner. I will allow myself to have 2 slices and that's it. I will avoid the cake and/or ice cream and I will not have any soda, only water.

I cannot continue to let other people dictate my life. I should have said this is what I am having, you go do what you want. I am not saying I am not going to allow myself to ever go out again, but if I have a plan ahead of time I need to stick to it. I cannot continue to find excuses and think that some how this weight is magically going to go away. I have to make a conscious effort to do what is right for me. I will continue to fight and I will do better. It is a learning process, but one I am not learning very well over the last year. I can do this!

    Eek, it's hard when a binge buddy is the guy you're married to...I've SO been there! He doesn't even ask anymore. I may be a spoilsport but I am not subjecting him to it, just myself. Go you for having a pizza plan (pizza is my weakness!). You will rock it!

May 14 Goals

Not quite as late today! lol Yesterday I was pretty close in meeting my goals...I was at 1304 for my calories, close enough for government work and was at 1500 mg for sodium. I didn't do the squats because my knees were swollen and creaking pretty bad, probably from the wii workout on Wednesday and the run yesterday. So instead I did a squat and held it for 4 mins! I was going to try to go to 5 but my legs were shaking super bad and about ready to give out on me. I think I will try that again in a week or so. :-)

My goals for today are:
1. Drink 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1400 calories
3. Do at least 20 mins of exercise before I take the puppy to the vet surgeon
4. Get at least 4 scrapbook pages done
5. Get all of DS's birthday invites written and mailed

Okay off to scrapbook!! :-)
