March Goals Report Week 2

So here is my report for this week:

1. Exercise at least 5 days a week 30 minutes each day (Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat)--On Monday I did BL2 High Intensity 2x (30 mins), Wednesday I did Walk Away the Pounds 2 mile (35 mins), Thursday I did kickboxing (but only for 20 minutes), however, later that day we went for a walk as a family one time around our block...about 15 mins, Friday I did BL2 High Intensity 2x again (30 mins), Saturday I a prevention magazine DVD with Cardio Sculpt (which includes weights/strength training) and Kickboxing (30 mins total). So I accomplished this goal entirely this week!!!
2. Strength train 3x a week (Tues, Thurs, Sat)--I am proud to say I did Strength training each of the days I said, BUT I didn't always do my full routine but I don't feel bad about that because one of the days I did new things that I don't normally do because they were part of a video.
3. Log all my exercise and strength training in here--DONE I had to update some of it today, but I did log it for this whole week.
4. Log all food here at least 6 times a week--I did MUCH better this time! I logged EVERYTHING everyday except Sunday.
5. Blog my updates/results at least once a week--Again doing it right now!
6. Get in bed by 11pm each night--Well let's see, Sunday night, Thursday night and Friday night I got in bed at 11:01 or 11:02 so I was pretty close. Monday and Tuesday night I was in bed by 10 or 10:30 because I had to work the next day. Wednesday, I wasn't even close, I don't think I got to bed until almost midnight. Oh well, there is always next week!
7. Complete at least 25 scrapbook pages I want to finally finish February 2007, I keep saying this and then I don't do it, I get sidetracked with other pages for more recent stuff. I also want to catch up completely on my weight loss album (I think I need to work on November-March) and my family month in review album (I think I have Sept-Feb to complete! YIKES!). Guess I really better get my bootie in gear!--This week I completed 6 pages. Which brings my total for the month to 15. Only 10 pages to go and I have two and half weeks to complete them!! As I stated last week I had already caught caught up my weight loss album and also DH's weight loss album. I also had completed 1 page of my Feb 2007 album. This week I completed another 3 pages. I think I only have 2 LOs left to be done with Feb 2007!!! I sitll have not worked on my family month in review album. So I need to try to work on that this week, but I would rather get Feb 2007 completed first. So we'll see what I can get done!
8. Make the quilts for my niece and nephew (I have done one for each of the new niece or nephew for their first Christmas, well since we aren't doing gifts to each person this year, I slacked and didn't get them done. I need to get them done this month.)--Still didn't start, still have 3 left to make.
9. Make pillowcases for all the holidays we are missing for DH and I and make a whole set for DS--I am very proud of myself!! I got 4 pillowcases done this week (I found 2 that had already been cut out from when I made them before, so I used those to make 2 of them.) The other 2 I made completely from start to finish. Please look at my scrapbooking blog for pictures and some additional comments.
10. Catch up on all my blog posts on my family blog. I am still in December!!! lol--I have done a couple. I am up to Christmas eve I think! woohoo! lol Good thing I have until the end of the month to finish catching up and January didn't have that many things happen! lol
11. Last thing is to get our taxes done. That will be a huge relief especially with DH being without a job.--YIPEE They are done and we got our return money this Friday! I bought the tickets for our vacations this summer. Now to keep our eyes out for a deal on the type of laptop we want!

  


March Goals Report Week 1

So as one of my goals was to report my results at least once a week. So although I did get some things accomplished I am not happy with some of my other results this week, especially on the weight loss. But here is what happened this week anyways:

1. Exercise at least 5 days a week 30 minutes each day (Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat)--On Monday I did kickboxing (but only for 20 minutes), Wednesday I did Walk Away the Pounds 1 mile (again only 20 minutes), Thursday I did kickboxing again (but only for 20 minutes...are you seeing a pattern here??? lol), Friday I did Tae Bo (YIPEE for 30 minutes!!), but Saturday I didn't do any exercise
2. Strength train 3x a week (Tues, Thurs, Sat)--I am proud to say I did Strength training each of the days I said, BUT I didn't do my full routine so I am not as happy about that
3. Log all my exercise and strength training in SarkPeople.--DONE for this whole week!!
4. Log all food in SparkPeople at least 6 times a week--ummmm, well from the 1st-7th, I only logged ALL food in SparkPeople 4 days (there was 1 day I logged but not the whole day. Two days weren't logged at all.)
5. Blog my updates/results at least once a week--Doing it right now!
6. Get in bed by 11pm each night--I think of the 7 days so far only 3 days did I get in bed by 11pm. I can tell on the days I did things seemed to be better the next day.

I completed 1 page of my Feb 2007 album. (I think I only have about 6 LOs left, not sure if they will be 1 or 2 page LOs, but I have 6 sets of pictures I need to finish. I just might make it!! lol)

I need to get them done this month.)--Didn't even start on....AND I just found out that my sister (that has my new nephew) ALSO just got their referral for their China adoption!! Soooooooo that means instead of just 2 quilts I really need to do 3 this month....YIKES!!! I really better get moving on this! lol

10. Catch up on all my blog posts on my family blog. (I am still in December!!! Yeah I know I am a slacker!! Lol)--I think I did one and I have completed a couple of recent posts, but still have lots to do to catch up!
11. Last thing is to get our taxes done. That will be a huge relief especially with DH being without a job.--YIPEE They are done and we should get our return money this coming Friday! Now I can purchase our airline tickets for our vacations this summer and also a laptop that I have really needed.

Oh on another note, DH has a job!! He is working at Best Buy on the Geek Squad! I had a friend who said, "I am sure he has never been so happy to be called a Geek!" Sooo true! It is only part time, but at least it will give us additional income. He is still looking for a full time job. But we think he will do both for awhile.

So with that I will report again next week. I hope I will be able to say I have done better this week than I did this past week!

March goals

Okay so it has been a long time since I blogged, so I think I need to do something. I have only 3 1/2 months to get to 140 (my goal for June 15th). I just don't think that is going to happen, but I am still going to TRY. I did terrible February compared to January. I really don't know what was wrong other than possible I was too comfortable and too lax about things. Most of my workouts were WATP because that is about the only one DH likes to do and it is nice to workout together. BUT this month I can't do that. I just can't. I have got to get burning more calories or my weight is not going to go down. The other thing is I have GOT to start doing strength training again on a regular basis. I have really slacked off on this, not sure why, maybe that laziness coming back in. I can't let it win so I must get going on it again!!

So here are my goals for March.

1. Exercise at least 5 days a week 30 minutes each day (Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat).
2. Strength train 3x a week (Tues, Thurs, Sat)
3. Log all my exercise and strength training in SP.
4. Log everything at least 6 times a week (if I can't log it correctly/accurately, then I can't eat it. I will allow myself 1 day of not being able to track completely accurately. That day will be Sunday as we go to my in laws house and while the food is relatively healthy, I am not always able to measure, or even know what is in the recipe.)
5. Blog my results at least once a week.
6. Get in bed by 11pm each night.
7. While this isn't a weight loss goal it is still a goal for March so I am putting it here. Complete at least 25 scrapbook pages I want to finally finish February 2007, I keep saying this and then I don't do it, I get sidetracked with other pages for more recent stuff.     I just found out my sister finally got their referral for their little girl from China! So I guess now I need to make 3 quilts. I might as well get three done so I can send them all in one box to my sister with the two (she just adopted a newborn little boy and now is adopting a little 2 yr old girl) and then she can give the other one to my other sister who just had a little girl. lol So I guess #8 is now 3 blankets instead of 2!!! YAY!!

2008 Review and Goals for 2009

What a great year, I have finally found something I can actually stick with. And guess what that is? Eating healthy and exercising. Hmmmm, that old fashioned stuff really works!! lol Amazing! lol So I created a scrapbook page for this year and my weight loss.

As a review, I started with SparkPeople in November of 2007 at a weight of 232 pounds. I started 2008 at a weight of 227. As of November 18th I had lost 60 pounds! Unfortunately I allowed the holidays to run my program instead of my program running the holidays. I can't believe I let my program go by the way side, but I did. I gained about 7 pounds over the holidays. It brought my weight loss for 2008 to 49 pounds and my total weight loss on this SP journey to 54 pounds. I am proud of my accomplishments. I wish it could have been more, but I also know I can reach my ultimate goal this year and that the holiday season in 2009 I will have even more experience at not trying to eat my way through the holidays.

So now tomorrow I am back on track (everything that shouldn't be in the house is going with my DH to work tonight or being put in the freezer for other parties or special occasions. IE the chocolate chip cookies! lol) I will begin working out again at least 30 minutes every day (cardio or strength training) and I want to start walking my son to school on top of that at least two days a week. I plan on being ultra strict on my eating again.

My goal is to be at 140 pounds by the middle of June before I go to a scrapbook retreat and on vacation. I also would like to reach my ultimate goal of 130 pounds preferably by September 1st, but at the very least by the end of the year. I know if I do what I should and stick with it I can do it! I have already come this far, I can go all the way!

I also have a goal of scrapbooking 300 pages this year. I will really have to stay focused if I want to do that. I need to start scrapping and quit downloading free digital kits so much! lol But I can do it. I did 271 this year, so I should be able to complete that goal this year!

    Wow, I am impressed with your scrapbook. I wish I would have started out with a picture, although I have plenty sitting around reminding me of my former weight. Maybe I could start where I am now.

Super September Week 2

So for week 2 (I know I am way late and it is almost time to post for week 3, but I think we quit doing the daily count on the team and I got lost! lol I am glad they started doing them again).

Monday 9/8--3 points
Tuesday 9/9--3 points
Wedensday 9/10--3 points (seeing a trend here??? I am not being very good at doing them all am I? I need to do better)
Thursday 9/11--4 (since I am not sure about my sleeping that night)
Friday 9/12--4 (once again not sure about my sleeping)
Saturday 9/13--2 points (not good, I was close with one, but definitely not close with the other 2)
Sunday 9/14--2 points (not good again)

So I got a total of 21 this week. That puts my overall total at 48. I did get to watch my movie when I met my 30 points. We watched a movie called Church Ball. It was okay and there were a few funny parts, but it definitely was not as funny as I thought it should be.

I also did not do good at all with my goal of getting to bed by 11:30. I am trying really hard, but some days I am squeaking in right at 11:30, other nights I am getting around 11:40, a very few I am getting to bed early (usually on nights that I have to work the next day at 6am, but because I am getting up a ton earlier I am not meeting the 8 hours of sleep! Not good! lol), and then some days I just totally blow it. Typically on Friday night, I get to bed late after an all day crop/chat with my Scrap to Lose team, and then I have to get up early to go to work. Oh well I just keep trying and at least I am getting close to 11:30 most nights, better than the midnight or 1am I was typically getting.

Can't wait until I reach the 60 point mark so I can have my DH make me breakfast in bed!! WOOHOO! Maybe I can plan on sleeping in that day. Hmm, we will have to coordinate it really well though! lol
