Sept 20 Goals

Here we go again. I don't know why I can't take the 10 minutes each day and put my goals down here. I am on SP so it isn't like I can really use that as an excuse. I just need to make up my mind and do it! I know part of the reason I am on a plateau is because I have to fight each week day to get off what I gained over the weekend. If I would just stinkin' stay with it over the weekend too then I would start seeing actual results. I need to track over the weekend, I need to stop making excuses and do it! I am getting so frustrated with myself. I have to start doing.

Today's goals:
1. Drink 12 glasses of water
2. We have a food day at work today for someone's birthday so I am going to only have 1/2 a serving of the things that I REALLY want. Only one dessert thing.
3. I must actually do a whole 5k (our race is Sat and I have yet to do an actual 5k since March!)
4. Household chores: Finish lunchbox notecards and make last batch of chocolate zucchini bread

Sept 15 Goals

Well that schedule kindof went out the window! lol Mostly because card club was cancelled. So instead I made a batch of chocolate zucchini bread (SP recipe) because I had already grated the zucchini this weekend and NEEDED to get it baked! So it kindof worked out good and I was very tired from not much sleep the day before and a 10 hour day at work. So it worked out, but I hate it when you are all excited or ready for something and it doesn't happen. Kindof a let down (and no KL not dirty! lol) So for my report--I only had 10 glasses of water since no crazy sodium intake. I believe I stayed under 1500 calories, I was at 1330 that I am able to track and then DH had brought home a brownie from work yesterday so I ate that last night since I didn't get to have to treats at card club! lol It was about 1 1/2 inches square so I think I am ok. I didn't end up going to the Y since I didn't have card club, I still took the day off. But I also didn't get 6000 steps. But I forgot to reset my pedometer from the previous day until it was like 9am. So not sure how much I missed before that. I got most of my meals planned, just finished up what we would have for dinner this morning. I got my card ready before I knew it was cancelled. I guess at least it is ready for next week and I don't have to worry about it.

So for today:
1. Drink 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1500 calories
3. Go to a class at the Y and get 6000 steps
4. Plan meals/menu for tomorrow
5. Household chores: Clean off TV tray by my scrapbook table, make last batch of chocolate zucchini bread and go through the mail/clean off coffee table (that is where the mail is all piled right now).

Sept 14 Goals

Things went pretty well yesterday. I was able to get a schedule written down so hopefully I can stick to it and get things accomplished in all areas of my life! lol As for my goals...I got 10+ glasses of water (not sure how much I drank from my water bottle while at the Y). I did not stay under 1300 calories, at the end of the day I was STARVING, so I had a bowl of multigrain cheerios, which put me at just under 1500 calories, still in my range, but not at the 1300 mark like I originally said. I am not feeling bad, I made the choice and also know I am working out more so probably 1300 calories is a little low for me. I went to the Body Pump class, my arms are still sore! But I only got 4200 steps yesterday (not a lot of stepping during a weight lifting class! lol) I had wanted to get on the treadmill before class, but the US Open tennis match superseded it (I almost skipped class entirely to watch it, but at the last possible minute I told myself I NEEDED to go. So off I went and God blessed me by opening up the sky and letting it rain or be on a rain delay the entire time I was gone. I think I only actually missed 5 points! lol) Of course that also meant I stayed up wayyyyyyy too late watching the rest of the match! lol I have my meals planned for today and I FINALLY got my bathrooms cleaned and got 1 load of laundry folded and another one washed (twice actually because when DH pulled his WHITE judo gi out of the washer he rubbed it against some rust on the washer and I had to rewash the dang thing! UGH!) I am feeling really good because I had a plan and was able to do EVERYTHING I needed to do. I also got a good portion of my card for card club done!

So to set some goals for today and stick with them! :-)
1. Drink 12 glasses of water (I have to drink 2 big glasses at card club tonight so I can make sure the sodium doesn't over run my body! lol)
2. Stay under 1500 calories (track everything)
3. Get 6000 steps (skipping exercise because there will literally be NO time today)
4. Plan meals/menu for tomorrow
5. Household chores: Finish getting card ready for card club tonight

Here is my schedule for today...UGH crazy!!!
5:30am-4pm work (I have a training class today so have to stay late)
4:30pm finish getting card ready for card club
5:00pm dinner/getting food ready for tomorrow
6:00pm DS's bath and homework
6:30pm Leave for card club
7:00pm Card Club
9:30pm Home and in bed to go to work tomorrow

Hope I can get it all done! lol Not a spare moment so I will have to stay focused and get done what I can as quickly and efficiently as I can! :-) Have a great day everyone!!

Sept 13 Goals

Okay here we go AGAIN. I cannot get in a routine, I seem to constantly be behind. I am not per se overwhelmed, but just not enough hours in the day to complete all that I want and even what I NEED to do each day. I am hoping this week is much better. I think I have some plans in place so we will see how it goes.

Goals for today:
1. Drink 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1300 calories (track everything)
3. Exercise at least 30 mins and get 6000 steps
4. Plan meals/menu for tomorrow
5. Household chores: Clean bathrooms (nope still haven't been done, how pitiful is that?!), and do some laundry

If I can at least accomplish that I will be happy and feel a little less behind. :-)

    You are doing great Michele. Don't stress yourself. Remember to put in some time to relax and enjoy something, even if it's only 30 minutes a day. If you don't, you're not going to be happy and will get out of the motivation you have going.

Sept 9 Goals

Yesterday at work went better than I expected. But certainly glad it is over for the week. I don't think I got all 12 glasses of water, I think I only got 11. I am not sure about my calories because I didn't track. I have got to get back to that. I really do. I know it helps and will keep me in check better. I just am feeling overwhelmed right now and need to get a good routine. I really wish I could get completely caught up and stay caught up. But it doesn't seem to happen lately. Maybe the Y is taking over my life. I am wondering if I need to go less or at least make my time at home more productive some how. I am hoping the next couple of weeks I can figure things out. Anyway, I did a 60 min Zumba class last night plus a 60 min Yoga/Pilates class called BodyFlow. I really like the relaxing part of it, I do have struggles with some of the moves, anything where I am resting on the side of my left foot (like the warrior pose) I have quite a bit of pain. So I need to figure a better way for that. I ended up with over 9000 steps yesterday. My household chores: I got the 2 scrapbook pages done, but didn't get anything uploaded. I did get the pictures of the "moolah" taken, but didn't get it posted. So I guess my scorecard for today is about a 50% not so great! lol Oh well.

Today, I know I am super late posting this, but here were my goals for the day:
1. Drink 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1300 calories
3. Personal training appt and get at least 6000 steps
4. Household chores: Get all recent pages uploaded to galleries, grocery shopping, get laundry done and clean the bathrooms

Hope to finish some of this stuff up now. :-)
