Sept 8 Goals

I tried. lol Yesterday at work was really rough. Without going into details let's just say I got the 3rd degree from the VP because my supervisor wasn't here. Luckily, I wasn't in trouble, although I may be today when my supervisor comes in because I wasn't going to lie when the VP is asking me outright if I knew about something (yes I did know about it). However, my supervisor was not telling him about it. Anyway, I don't think today is going to be much better. I woke up at 2:30 this morning to my dog chewing up my ipod earphones and the usb cable. ARGH! Why isn't she over this yet?!?!?! I was NOT happy and I was not able to go back to sleep until after 3 and had to get up at 4. I am tired. Boy I am a huge complainer aren't I?!

So a report...I got 10 glasses of water drank, not quite the 12 I had stated. Food, I think I did well, and I really did have only the 1/8 size piece of the pie. The only downfall was there were some mint brownies being auctioned off and our table went in together to "buy" them. lol I had one brownie and then another girl got chocolate chip cookies and so I had one of those (which sucks because they really weren't the best I have had, they were only ok--guess that's what I get for eating what I shouldn't be eating! lol) I did go to the Body Combat class, I paid for it though! lol My back was hurting by the end of the night and hurt all night in bed. Hopefully that means it is doing something and not just hurting my back. I got just over 10k steps! And as I have stated the Service Auction happened, we got stuff done in time, it was a bit of a crunch, but we pulled it off, thanks to my friend who did most of the work. I really owe her one! Glad it is over and now on to planning next month's meeting! lol

Goals for today:
1. Drink 12 glasses of water (I flushed some of the sodium but certainly not enough)
2. Stay under 1300 calories
3. Exercise for at least 15 mins and get at least 6000 steps
4. Household chores: Complete 2 scrapbook pages and upload all recent pages to galleries, take pictures of "moolah" and post to blog.

I think that is all for now. I am sure I should be doing other things, but I need another vacation day! lol

    Yay Michele!! You are back on track. Now I'm the only slacker! I am so proud of you. It takes a lot to not lie about something even though it might eventually get someone else in trouble. You are kicking butt on the exercise scene. I didn't get much in this weekend but will be back at it starting today. Keep up the good work!!!!!!

Sept 7 Goals

Geez, am I ever going to be consistant with anything any more???? I get side tracked so easily and do not continue on with plans I have. I have got to get on track today and stay on track. The weekends seems especially hard because I think woohoo it's the weekend, let's enjoy it. Well the weekends blow me right back to where I started the week before, so I have to work the whole week to get off 2 pounds and then I gain them right back over the weekend. Starting today I am off that vicious cycle. I have to start putting my foot down and asking myself "what do I want more? Is it that piece of cake, cookie, pizza, whatever...or is it to lose the rest of this weight and continue to get healthy?" I must make the decision every time I am faced with food or I will never reach my goals.

I think I did pretty good yesterday considering it was a holiday, not to mention a normal BBQing/food eating holiday! lol I had shredded wheat and a piece of toast for breakfast. Then lunch I had a sandwich and some sun chips (I didn't even let my DH talk me into have a "treat" at the zoo). For dinner we had hamburgers and potato salad. I attempted to make ice cream, BUT I didn't realize I need to freeze the container for it to work and so it only was in there for like 2 hours before I tried to use it. AND they only had light cream and not heavy cream like the recipe called for. Not sure which one was the problem but it never even attempted to get solid. lol So we drank our "flavored milk" lol :-) Good thing it wasn't for some party! Or the guests would have been disappointed...DS was bad enough! lol So see, my eating was not really bad, YET I was up almost 1/2 a pound today. UGH! I know part of it had to do with the sodium level vs my hydration. So today I am really trying to watch the sodium the best I can (kindof hard considering I know what is coming for dinner tonight...pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, potato salad, green beans and pie), but I am really going to guzzle the water. :-)

Okay enough babbling...here are today's goals:
1. Drink at least 12 glasses of water
2. Only 1/2 of what I think a serving should be of the sides at dinner tonight. Only 1/8 piece of pie total (so I could do 2 1/16 but cannot get more than 1/8 of a piece).
3. Go to a group fitness class at the Y and get 6000 steps
4. Household chores: my only chore with this today is making sure evrything is ready and we pull off the Women's Meeting which is a Service Auction and dinner tonight.

Relief off my shoulders once that is over and then we start planning for next month! lol

  


September 2 Goals

Second day of the month and I am doing my best to really make this month a good one. I really want to meet my goal of losing 20 pounds by my birthday. So far so good. :-)

On Wednesday I completed goals #1, #2, and #3 ended up doing bodyflow at the Y last night (Yoga, Pilates type class, it was challenging though and my back was feeling it during the night). The household chores didn't go so well, I did get the groceries put away finally! lol But the other two did not get done.

For today:
1. Drink at least 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1400 calories
3. Go to personal training appt, and do bodypump class at the Y
4. Household chores: Get ALL the laundry done and put away, complete 3 scrapbook pages and make 2 birthday cards

Well I better get going. I have lots to get done and sitting playing on the computer isn't getting it done! :-)

    I think you are doing great Michele. I went to my trainer today and it was great, really motivating. She didn't over work me either so I think I will be able to walk tomorrow. Keep up the great work... Vi

September 1 Goals

Well here it is a whole month has gone by and I only lost .1 pound :-( I had been doing really well the last part of the month, but then this past weekend we had two parties and apparently I was out of control! Like I said I gained 3 pounds, luckily in the two days since the weekend I have lost 2 of them. So here's hoping the rest of the week will be good to me and by Friday I can be back down plus some.

As for yesterday...I got 11 glasses of water (I drank a bottle of water at Bunco, so met that goal too). I am pretty sure I stayed under 1500 calories easily (always had to track someone else's food). The food was a whole meal, but I only had two potstickers, a SMALL salad, and some fruit. There wasn't even a dessert I liked (fortune cookies) so I didn't have any! I was tempted just to be able to have a dessert, but then I realized, I don't like fortune cookies that much, I mean they are alright, but certainly nothing I would ever CRAVE or want, so why waste the calories on them?!?! Victory for me! I ended up going to a class at the Y with my friend, holy cow, it was Body Combat, yeah my legs, back and chest (where your arms attach to your body) are KILLING between that and Body Pump on Monday I am beat. I got over 10k steps yesterday. I did not get the food storage groceries put away but I did get the laundry in the dryer folded.

For today:
1. Drink at least 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1400 calories
3. Do some stretching exercises, maybe yoga or something, my body is so tired and in pain I think a day off with some stretching will be good (especially since tomorrow I will have 2 hours at the Y, a personal training appt and then a class).
4. Household chores: Get groceries put away, get 3 scrapbook pages completed (they were due yesterday, but it will be ok if I do them today instead), and clean off coffee table (my nemisis UGH).

Make today a good one everyone! You can do it. It is a constant struggle, but it is worth it and I am worth it! :-)

    Yay for you not wasting the calories on the fortune cookies. I'm with you, they're okay but why waste the calories if you don't love them! You are doing an AWESOME job! Keep up the good work!!!!

August 31 Goals

I completed almost all of my goals for yesterday. Took BodyPump at the Y. My arms are still feeling it! The only thing I didn't complete is I only got 4500 steps. I know that my pedometer fell off a couple of times yesterday so I think I may have gotten the 5000 they just weren't counted. Oh well, what can you do?! lol

Today's goals:
1. Drink at least 10 glasses of water (make sure I drink at least 2 at Bunco tonight)
2. Stay under 1500 calories, have only one plate of food at Bunco and one dessert
3. Exercise for at least 15 mins and get 6000 steps
4. Household chores: Get groceries put away and fold load of laundry in the dryer

I am not sure that much else can get done considering I have Bunco tonight and I still want to get SOME exercise in. I really wanted to do the step class at the Y tonight but there is no way I can fit it in. It starts at 6pm and Bunco is at 7pm and it is an hour class and I will be sweating so I am not going to Bunco immediately after. The 5pm class is BodyPump and I don't want to do strength training 2 days in a row. So I might try out the bike at the Y. We will see. :-)
