August 11 Goals

My back is still hurting, luckily not as much, but still very uncomfortable. I did go to work today, not sure how long I can stay. I have only been here for a half hour and my back is already hurting. I am going to do my best, but certainly not going to push it and be worse off down the road.

Yesterday's report--I got 11 glasses of water, I am not sure about my calories since I couldn't get anything to track yesterday and was unsure about the calorie count of the snacks at card club. I did only have one serving of my dip and crackers and the cake, but I went a little crazy with the white chocolate covered popcorn. ooops lol I don't think I did horrible, but certainly not as well as I should have. I called the YMCA, just need to go in and sign up now.

Today's goals:
1. Drink 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1300 calories
3. Household chores: Clean up that pile!!!!

I am going to lay down and let my back rest when I get home from work for a little while and then later in the day I WILL clean up that pile. If I can just get that one thing done today I will be happy.

    Sorry about your back!! You have a great plan to keep things simple. This way you can stick to it and not hurt yourself more. I wish I was closer and could help you out!

August 10 Goals

Why oh why do I always get kicked in the teeth when I am trying to get back on track or get lots done?????? Yesterday morning I needed to take a cuttlebug back to my friend that I borrowed. I also had some avon I needed to take into work. Well I put the cuttlebug in the box and when I tried to lift it I thought, "you know this isn't proper lifting techniques, I hope it doesn't hurt my back." (I cannot squat and lift with my knees my legs aren't that strong.) Well I must have cursed myself with that because as the day went on my back started hurting worse and worse. By the time I got home from work I could hardly do anything. So I took my laptop into my bed and laid there and watched some shows and rested. I know this is the only way to get it better as I have had this happen before. It frustrates me deeply as I really wanted to get things done yesterday and today and all I have been able to do is lay in bed instead. I hate this! I don't want to be laying here but to stand or bend hurts. Well it hurts all the time, but if I can get in a position sitting or laying it doesn't hurt as bad. But I certainly can't move around without major twinges of pain. Why oh why?!?!?!?!

So with that said, here is my report for yesterday...I got #1 and #3 done. I didn't get any exercise. We did have FHE and I got everything done for the cards. Luckily they are simple and I could sit in one place and do them without bending over or twisting around.

For today knowing my situation:
1. Drink 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1500 calories
3. Call the YMCA about registering
4. Only have 1 serving of the snacks/dessert at card club

Off to lay down again. :-(


August 9 Goals

A quick review first: Thursday I completed all my goals!!!! I even rode my bike around the block and then we went to adventure island and at one point I climbed a cargo net (scratched up my knees on that one, not as agile and light on my feet as I once was! lol), and then in the wave pool you had to push yourself back each time or you would soon find yourself far far away from the waves! lol So I got plenty of exercise including some VERY sore thighs! lol

I am REALLY not being consistent with these goals lately. I am a little bit in the overwhelmed drowning stage right now. I feel like somehow I need to get my feet under me. I am taking on too much right this moment. I hope to get some major things accomplished this week so that I can feel like I am not running behind, but ahead of the game. Honestly part of it has to do with summer. I will be glad when my DS goes back to school, I didn't think I would ever say that, but I realized that #1 I am way more productive with him not here, #2 I don't have to find other activities to do with him that take me away from doing my chores, #3 I don't have to feel guilty about not paying attention to him a good part of the day (since he isn't here!), of course I don't feel guilty when it is for an hour or two, but when it is 5-6 hours like I really need to stay caught up on things, then I feel guilty. I guess to an extent maybe I should just say WHO CARES for the next two weeks, they are only young for a little while, and the piles and clutter will be there until I take care of it right?! lol The problem right now is I have so many responsibilities that have time deadlines, so I can't blow off everything. I just need to be more focused on doing the chore(s) and then playing. I always give my DH a hard time about that, but then don't always follow the rule myself. So that is my focus this week. Get my chores done before I go play.

With that said here are my goals for today:
1. Drink 10 glasses of water
2. Exercise for at least 10 minutes
3. Stay under 1300 calories
4. Household chores: Take care of that dang pile on my scrapbook papers!!!!! Have FHE. Cut out all the parts of my card for card club and assemble at least 1 card.

I don't know what else, it seems like there was one more thing I was going to do today after I got home from work, but I can't remember what it was so I guess if I remember I will add it later!

    goals are not sticks to beat ourselves up with, they are measuring rods to show us how far we have come and how far we have to go.

August 5 Goals

Sometimes I wonder why I do this when it is so late...but I am still going to put them down anyway...yesterday's review goes as such...I got 10 glasses of water. I did not get any exercise done, but I did a TON of running around the house, so I am sort of counting that lol. I got 8100ish steps, don't remember the exact amount right now. I have no idea about my calories because I didn't track anything. Not good, but it is what it is. As for the household goals...I got 2 loads of laundry done, I got 16 invites cut, I got the bills paid. However, once again I did NOT get that dang pile taken care of!!! lol I sooooo need to just do it but I get sidetracked with other projects. I got quite a few other chores done too so that is good and then I felt okay not doing chores this morning and actually going to Adventure Island instead!!! hehehe

For today:
1. Drink 10 glasses of water
2. Exercise for 30 mins
3. Stay under 1500 calories
4. Household chores: Finish the laundry and get the rest of the invite fronts cut out (40 more)

    Girl, you go!! I think we get along so well cause we are sooo much alike! I get sidetracked all the time! I, like you, am going to keep plugging away anyway! The way I look at it, something is better than nothing!!!

August 4 Goals

So I totally missed yesterday I was too busy. I think I was home maybe 45 minutes all day until it was time to come home and go to bed so I could get up to come to work this morning! lol But here is a review of Monday's goals...#1 done, #2 done, I did a 10 min run with the wii fit while watching a show and if I recall correctly I ended up wtih 7800ish steps. For my household goals, I did not get the pile worked on at all, but we did have FHE and I got my avon orders put together.

So for today I must be super productive after I get home from work because tomorrow we are going to go to Adventure Island with my friend so I need to get my normal Thursday chores done today if I want to play tomorrow.
1. Drink 10 glasses of water
2. Exercise for at least 10 mins and get 8000 steps
3. Stay under 1300 calories
4. Household chores: Get at least 2 loads of laundry fully done (that includes folding and putting away), finish cleaning off pile on scrapbook papers, get at least 10 invites cut out and pay a couple of bills.

    Michele you are doing a great job! We all have those days where we don't do what we want to but by staying focused we can forge ahead. I want you to know that I keep going because you keep going! You are my motivator and I thank you for that!!!!! emoticon
