July 27 and 28 Goals

Well this blog seems like my life lately, never enough time to do it like I should. I feel constantly behind lately, and the last couple of days have hit me really hard. Maybe it is because it is close to TOM or maybe I am just getting in a rut I don't know. I feel like I can't keep up with anything. I feel like my house is a mess, but I HONESTLY have no idea what I do all day. I have been slacking on my exercise, I used to do 30 mins almost every day, I am lucky I get 5 now! I used to follow a million blogs every day, now I am lucky I visit 1. I made sure I had a good, healthy meal on the table every night and the last week I have felt like going out to eat every night instead. I am very frustrated, I am very overwhelmed, part of me would like to go take a long summer nap without any responsibilities or having to get up to do anything other than get something to eat (which someone else is going to have to make for me) and going to the bathroom! lol (a couple of days would work) and then maybe I could refocus and get a better perspective on things. I just feel like the walls of my house are closing in on me. :-( I am getting more junk and crap in my house and I feel like I just don't have the time to even deal with it. Anyway, enough complaining and on to the task at hand.

So for Monday's goals...I got in the 10 glasses of water, did not stay under 1400 calories, but I THINK I stayed within my calorie range. I did not get any exercise, but I did get over 6000 steps. I did not get any of my household goals done because I spent the afternoon with a broken down car trying to get it towed and get my son and me home and getting the car fixed. It was a rough afternoon. :-(

Yesterday's goals--I kept them short and sweet and didn't even get on the computer but for 15 mins I think and that was to check on someone that I had told them I would follow up with. Between dealing with the car and running some errands, which took longer than I expected, and then DS's annual checkup, and Bunco last night I had very little time to do anything and what time I did have I worked on the two main goals that I have wanted to complete for WEEKS!
1. Drink 10 glasses of water--I got 12
2. Have only 1 of each thing at Bunco--I had two pieces of bruchetta, but only 1 small piece of cake and 1 cupcake (lol, one girl made a white cake with fresh fruit topping, kindof like a strawberry shortcake and another girl make chocolate cupcakes because it was another girls birthday).
3. Exercise for at least 30 minutes--DONE!!! Went on a bike ride with DH and DS on my new bike! (my bum hurts now! lol)
4. Household goals: Clean dishwasher and put scrapbook pages in album--DONE!!!!

Today's goals:
1. Drink 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1500 calories and no second helpings at dinner party tonight
3. Exercise for at least 10 minutes and get 7000 steps
4. Go on church visits
5. Get church women's meeting sign up emailed out

I think that is going to be plenty. I am going to have another busy day in which I won't be home again to do much. As soon as I get done with work, I race home to do church visits and then I have a birthday party/dinner to go to for the baby I watch, he will be 1! :-) I am sure we will be there the majority of the night. Not good for getting anything done or feeling less stressed, overwelmed, frustrated, or like I don't want to crawl into bed and take a long summer nap! lol But Thursday morning I am going to have to be like the tasmanian devil again so I can get things done before the baby gets there, cause I know not much will get done after that.

    You can do it Chele!!! I can think of several people who can relate to your day, me included. Just lack of motivation. I have managed to get the dishwasher loaded, a load of clothes washed, dried and folded. Now I need to hem a pair of work pants. Better go do that NOw!!!! Have a fun time at the party. emoticon

    I hear you with the overwhelmed thing! I have been there before and I would say you are doing what you need to to get through it. I have found that I need to make short lists to get done and eventually I will get everything taken care of. It may not happen as fast as I would like it too but it will get done. I would come down and cook for you if I could! I would let you take a couple of days off!!
You are headed in the right direction so take a breath and remember that we are here for you! You will get through this. Just take it one short list at a time and focus only on the things on your list. Don't worry about the other stuff till you get to them!! I hope this helped and if you need me you know where to find me!!!!!!!!!!!

July 25 and 26 Goals

Well I got on here and commented on someone else's blog yesterday and then forgot to come over and do my own. lol

Results of my goals for the 24th...#1 met, not sure about #2 since I got "to go" for dinner, but it was from a healthy place, and I only ate half of it...a chicken pita pocket with lettuce and green peppers on it and honey mustard sauce. A greek salad and potato salad. I did not get any exercise but did get over 6000 steps (I can't remember the exact number right now though, but do know it was way more than 6k). For my household chores...laundry got folded, Avon order did not get put together, I got my Sunday School lesson prepared and got the invitations made (finally got done with that at 1am, ugh). lol

Yesterday my goals and results were:
1. Drink 10 glasses of water--only got 8
2. Take a nap--done, needed a bit longer though I think
3. Post some scrapbook pages on blog and gallery--DONE
4. Rest for the day--I think I did pretty good at resting

Today's goals:
1. Drink 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1400 calories
3. Exercise for at least 10 minutes and get 6000 steps
4. Household goals: Make a couple of phone calls and fill out pwk for refinancing of house, Decide on emusic downloads and then cancel membership, and one family blog post

July 23 and 24 Goals

Ooops I missed reviewing my goals and putting down new ones yesterday! lol I hope I can remember everything that happened...I think I met goal #1 and #2. I did not meet the exercise goal, but I did a lot of walking at the mall and got around 8000 steps (not very good when I am supposed to be resting off my foot right?!). Goal #4 didn't happen, but I did have ideas for what I was going to eat yesterday lol And my household goals...all got done except for cleaning the two piles. Gotta work on that.

When I got up yesterday and weighed in I had lost another .4 pounds from last week. Certainly not going as fast as I would like, but at least it is going! lol

Goals for yesterday and the result:
1. Drink 10 glasses of water--I think I got either 8 or 10 I lost track!
2. Exercise for at least 15 mins--done, I did Wii Fit Step Aerobics
3. Get at least 3 scrapbook pages done--DONE (I had the baby so this was a stretch!)

And for today's goals:
1. Drink 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1400 calories
3. Exercise for at least 15 mins and get 6000 steps
4. Household goal: Fold last load of laundry that is in the dryer, put together Avon orders, plan Sunday School lesson, make invitations for church women's meeting that I need to pass out tomorrow. (YIKES!) lol

July 22 Goals

Yesterday turned out to be a great day! I met all of my goals including getting not only 6000 steps but 10100 steps!!! woohoo! I also went on a walk with dh and ds and we were gone for about 30 mins. (However, my foot has been bugging me for probably almost 3 weeks now, I can't quite figure out what the problem was and the shoes I wore to work yesterday--which I wear ALL THE TIME during the winter--hurt my foot really bad, at one point I thought I was going to cry. I haven't done anything to it, twisted it, fell, nothing, so I don't know what the problem is and I can't afford to go to the dr until next week at least after we get paid. So when I was putting on my shoes to go on the walk I noticed it was all swollen, I went on the walk, either way I was not going to let it derail my exercise as everything else seems to. It was fairly decent, it hurt but nothing I couldn't manage. When we returned however, it was really swollen. So I took advil and kept it raised up. It feels some better this morning so I am just going to have to be careful today.) The only bill I didn't get paid was the gas bill, I have to find it. I think it is in the pile of mail on the coffee table (my nemisis! lol) I got my food decided and then realized we have lunch bunch today at Sweet Tomatos so my whole meal plan is thrown out the window as I need to pick something for dinner that is super low in sodium since I know that will be my problem with lunch.

For today:
1. Drink 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1500 calories
3. Exercise for 30 mins and get 5000 steps
4. Decide on meals for tomorrow (prepare whatever I am going to put in the crockpot for Friday)
5. Houshold goal: Get laundry done (all of it, DH gave me a hard time this morning, joking of course, and asked if I was on strike from doing laundry! LOL), clean off the coffee table (my nemisis, have I mentioned that?!?), pay the gas bill, clean off top of printer and tope of scrapbook paper (I am going to go through this office one or two piles at a time).

Okay I think that is plenty for today especially since I am going to try to take it easy with my foot.

July 21 Goals

I did pretty decent yesterday. I only got 8 glasses of water instead of 10. I was at 1507 calories but I did resist having anything last night even though I was a little hungry because I had already used my calories for the day. I probably should have gotten a glass of water at that point, would have helped with goal #1 and probably taken some of the hunger away. Oh well, live and learn right?! I didn't exactly "exercise". But I did clean my house like a furious mad woman for 1 hour before the appraiser guy got there, I was running around picking stuff up, cleaning, vacuuming, etc. The guy got there early, so it cut down on the time I thought I had and my house was still a disaster. At least he can look around the clutter. I wish I would have thought about this appraiser prior to yesterday the day he was coming! The house would have looked much better and I wouldn't have been such a slacker the past couple of days. So dumb. Oh well, what's done is done and now I need to find motivation to still get my house in better order. It is killing me how it looks, but it still is not giving me the motivation to do it. I guess I need to start adding one household clean up/organize chore to these goals each day so I can be accountable and find motivation to do it. I got more than 6000 steps yesterday and I decided on all my meals for today except for 1 snack. I have about 200 calories to play with for that.

So today's goals will be:
1. Drink 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1300 calories
3. Exercise for at least 10 mins and get 6000 steps
4. Decide on meals for tomorrow
5. Household goal: pay bills, make phone calls and put away suitcases and other bags from vacation

One thing at a time right? And if I get more done than that woohoo for me! lol Have a great day everyone, I hope you all meet each of your goals for the day and week!

    Michele, You are my motivation! I need to get more accountable for my stuff. I do well tracking my food for a while but then slip back into my old habit of guessing at everything and tracking nothing! I am starting my daily goals today. You are doing a great job so keep up the good work and THANK YOU!!!! emoticon
