July 19 Goals

Monday, July 19, 2010

I guess yesterday I really relaxed. lol I got only 7 glasses of water and my calories were like 1800 something. My problem is when I go to my in laws I need to learn to take 1/2- 3/4 of a portion size because while what they have is semi healthy the calories are way too high. So for lunch yesterday I over 900 calories when I really didn't eat that much. Which left me hardly anything for the rest of the day. As for scrapbook pages, I got 1 almost done, but didn't start on another one. I decided family time was more important that scrapbooking time. I attempted to get to bed by 9pm. I was IN bed around 9:10, but didn't actually try to go to sleep until about 9:35 or so. But at least I tried.

So for today's goals:
1. Drink 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1300 calories
3. Exercise for at least 15 minutes and get at least 6000 steps
4. Get my meals prepared for tomorrow.
5. Complete the one scrapbook page I have been working on.

I am not sure what else I need to do so I will just leave it at that.

July 18 Goals

Report from yesterday--I did some line dancing at a church party last night, but I don't think it was anywhere near 15 mins long. I am not really certain on the calories yesterday. I was at 540 before we went to the party. At the party I had a pulled pork sandwich, an individual bag of Ruffles Cheddar and Sour Cream chips, a piece of apple pie and vanilla ice cream. Based on what I guesstimated my calories came in at around 1380, so possibly a little over, but not by much. I only got 1 scrapbook page done but I did get my lesson prepared.

For today--since it is Sunday and a day of rest I am just focusing on the big things:
1. Drink 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1500 calories
3. Complete 2 scrapbook pages
4. Get to bed by 9pm (this is a big one since I have a hard time doing this when I have to go to work the next day and then I am dead tired.)

Have a good day!

July 17 Goals

Saturday, July 17, 2010

Okay so for a whole week I have been a slacker. Not necessarily with my eating habits, as I think I did pretty decent, I lost .4 pounds this week, but I didn't really exercise. I did some, but not enough and certainly not the 30 min Tae Bo workouts I used to do. I am not sure why I let myself get off track, but I did. So today I am back on track. I am ready to get working again so that I can get this weight off once and for all. Although I know I can't go back to eating cheeseburgers at McDonald's once a week, but the weight can be gone and I can continue to eat healthy and exercise as a habit, not a "diet". I have told my husband since we started on this journey whatever we decided to do we had to do forever. It isn't just until we lose the weight, if you have that mentality then you will most certainly gain it all back in the blink of an eye and have to do it all over again and I don't want to have to do that.

Also I am not sure if I posted this or not, but I am right now! lol My new goal is to be to 150.0 by my birthday 12/13/10. So that is basically 20 pounds in 5 1/2 months. (Vanessa started this by wanting to lose a certain amount--the age she was turning--by her next birthday. I would LOVE to lose the pounds according to the age I am turning, but I know for me that is not realistic. I will be 35 so that would put me almost to my goal weight. I just know there is no way I could do that by my birthday, especially with my track record over the last year! lol So the realistic goal is 20 pounds by my next birthday instead.) I have lost 2 of them, 18 to go. I will keep you posted.

But to reach that goal I MUST stay up on these blog posts and be accountable for what I am doing (or not doing, as the case may be). With all that said here are my goals for today!

1. Exercise for at least 15 minutes
2. Stay under 1300 calories
3. Complete 3 scrapbook pages for my CT
4. Prepare my Sunday School lesson

I think that is all for today. Have a great weekend everyone!

July 10 Goals

Saturday, July 10, 2010

Well I had a plan yesterday and didn't stick to it very well (hence my weight has gone back up). But today is a new day right and while I don't think I did anything "bad" per se yesterday I just new it was too much. I used the Wii Fit and did 10 minutes step aerobics and 6-7 minutes of jogging, then 2-3 minutes of the Obstacle course and finally 2 minutes of the seguay (however you spell it! lol). Then DS wanted to play. He wanted to do the skateboarding but hasn't quite figured out how to use his feet, ankles and body to move the "skateboard". So I had to help him with that. And do you know he ended up playing the wii fit games for one hour and 15 minutes?! lol He was having so much fun I just let him keep going for it. lol Anyway, back to yesterday's goals...under 1500 calories....ummmmmmm not sure on that one, probably not. Instead of having the dinner I had originally planned DH wanted to go out to dinner. He wanted to try this fish restaurant that has been in the area since he was a kid. So off we went. I had the crab stuffed orange roughy. It was baked and soooooooooo yummy! I really probably should have cut it in half and brought half of it home (I usually do but it didn't look that big, but it really was, I was full when I finished, not stuffed, but full). The sides were coleslaw and roasted red potatos. And two hush puppies, which I gave 1/2 of one to DS. So I don't think I stayed under my calories, but I do think that my choice was a pretty decent one. I believe I got close to 10 glasses of water, if I didn't actually meet it. Umm deciding on my menu, nope, didn't happen and I know that is key, it really is. I have to get to it. I got 4 1/4 scrapbook pages done yesterday and made one card (I think it should count as a scrapbook page, it takes me just as long to make it as it takes me to do a scrapbook page! lol) Oh and the 1/4 scrapbook page, I started working on a page, originally it was going to be a quickpage, but the photo slot was too large for my picture, if I blew the picture up to fit the space it cut the people's heads off! lol So I was going to make it on my own since I had the kit (or so I thought) but then I realized that I didn't have the full kit only a mini kit. UGH! lol So I went in search of another kit that would give me the same affect. I think I found one, but by that time it was after 11pm and I needed to get to bed to go to work this morning. I will finish it today.

So for today:
1. Exercise for 15 minutes
2. Stay under 1400 calories
3. Drink 10 glasses of water
4. Prepare my lesson for sunday school tomorrow
5. Finish scrapbook page from last night

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Michele you are doing great! I know we sometimes think that we are doing a horrible job staying on track but we are becoming more aware of our choices and that is really important. I have done okay but not great since we got home and I have to remember not to beat myself up. The important thing for us both to remember is that we are not giving up and together we will make it!!!!
Love you Sisser!!!!!!!!!!! emoticon
