June 2 Goals

UGH! I wrote this whole blog and when I hit submit it gave me some diagnostic error message. Are you kidding me?!?!? I don't have time for this!!! lol So here we go again!

Yesterday recap: #1 got 12 glasses of water, #2 was slightly over the 1400, but still within my calorie range, #3 done, #4 did my normal routine, minus my squats, #5 Got IN bed by 9:22, but watched Glee (love that show!) so didn't actually try to go to sleep until after 10pm. Pretty good.

Also yesterday I had a great little experience, while eating dinner my DS, who just turned 6, says to me, "Mommy, you are getting skinny." I was a little surprised since normally he calls us "chubby bubby" since our Mii characters on the Wii are a little chunky. lol So I said, "thanks bud! Now if I could just get rid of the junk in my trunk! I need to continue to eat healthy and." DS interrupts me and says, "and pee and poop lots"...uhhh, well I guess that is true also...lol...I continue, "and exercise". So it made my day and I guess I better believe him!

Today's goals:
1. 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1400 calories
3. Decide on meals for tomorrow
4. Exercise at least 15 minutes
5. Get invites done (at least made and printed) for church women's meeting

I better stick to this, there are only 8 days left for the friendly competition we have going on a group here and I have only lost 4 pounds since the start of the competition Jan 10th. I need to get a move on if I am going to win!! lol Plus I only have 10 days left until I leave for vacation and I REALLY want to be below 162. I have a pair of capris that are a bit snug right now and I would really like them to fit decent at least. Better keep on working and not slacking or giving way to what is not as important to me. I must continue to choose weight loss and health over whatever crap food or large portion is in front of me at the moment. We can do this!!! Have a great day everyone!

  


June 1 Goals

I am going to keep on going, it works when I actually follow it and don't allow myself to go crazy! lol So for yesterday, goal #1, ummm, I lost track, I am not sure if it was 9 or 11, I think it was 11 but who knows. lol #2, we got one of the trees trimmed and the bushes out front, but still have one more to go. #3 I think I did really well, I got what I think were serving sizes of everything (one smallish pancake, one scoop of eggs, one scoop of fruit, 1/2 of a biscuit and gravy and what amounted to 1 strip of bacon if that, it was kindof broken into small pieces, for breakfast. Then we had two snacks during the day and an late lunch/early dinner. Which consisted of, a cheeseburger--yes a real one this time, but with extra lean ground beef, 1/2 a serving of sunchips, 1 serving of macaroni salad--SP recipe, 1 serving of my cottage cheese jello salad. And there you have it.) #4 Yeah and some! At the breakfast I played ultimate frisbee with some of the guys, only girl playing, and we played for about an hour and a half! It was great fun and great exercise, BUT I think I hurt my knee a little, I never felt it get hurt, but all day and today it has been swollen and tender when I walk or am sitting down or getting up or going up stairs! UGH! lol Oh well, I will do my best without over doing it. #5 Meals have been decided except for one snack.

So for today:
1. 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1400 calories
3. Decide on meals for tomorrow
4. Strength training (I will have to figure out a different leg exercise instead of squats to protect my knee)
5. Get to bed by 9:30pm

I can do this, I can make the next two weeks count! I can reach my goal before I leave to go on vacation and hopefully stay in check so that I don't gain it all back while I am gone! I can make wise decisions that will get me closer to my goals. I am worth it!! I will not let food and vacations rule me.

May 31 Goals

Yesterday I got almost everything done. I think I only got 2 blog posts prepared for the week. (I have to schedule them because I don't always get them done, but when I am on a roll it is easier for me to just do several and then have them post throughout the week. lol Strange I know, but it works for me, or it ends up being MONTHS before I get them posted! lol)

For today:
1. 10 glasses of water
2. Get the bushes and trees out front trimmed
3. Watch what I eat, I am not going to track, but I am going to stick to portion sizes. (We have a church Memorial Day breakfast and then we will have our own little cookout at home so ya know. But I am going to do my best.)
4. Get at least 15 mins of exercise
5. Decide on all my meals for tomorrow.

Because I don't want to undo anything that I have done the last two days. I have to keep moving forward, even if it is only by small steps. :-)

May 30 Goals

As for yesterday goals I met #1 and I think I was pretty close if slightly over on #2. I did get my strength training done and while I didn't do actual exercise, we started the morning by pulling weeds and grass from around our air conditioner, water softener, etc. Then we walked around our zoo for about 1 hour. And I got 4 scrapbook blog posts done (scheduled to post this week) but didn't get any family ones done since I need to download some more pictures from my camera! :-) Means I am getting closer to being caught up! WOOHOO! :-)

For today:
1. 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1400 calories
3. Make at least 3 family blog posts
4. Watch at least one episode of one of the shows that I am behind on :-) (Luckily I have watched the finales of BL, American Idol and Lost! Now to watch the finale of Dancing with the Stars and catch up on Amazing Race, Survivor and Celebrity Apprentice...I think that is all! lol I am behind several shows on these last ones. lol)

Why? Because I think I did fairly well staying on track yesterday, BUT I am still at the same weight I was when I started this month. I gained that all back and I want to lose it again and some before I go on vacation. That means I have exactly two weeks to do this. I MUST do this and get back to where I was plus some. :-) I can do this! So can you!

  


May 29 Goals

I got all the goals done except I was pretty over on my calories. I think I got 1575 or something like that. So not good. Oh well.

Today's goals:
1. 10 glasses of water
2. Stay under 1400 calories
3. Strength training
4. Get at least 15 mins of exercise
5. Update family blog and scrapbook blog with one post each.

Why? Because I have to get back on track and try to catch up again! I am forever behind on my blog and I am out of sorts on my goals. I am not happy with myself. I was doing so good and in one week screwed it all up. :-( Why do I continue to allow myself to do this in the name of a party or "day off"? It makes me mad! I have to figure out why I do this. I just really don't know why. I really really don't. Other than I am not asking myself what is more important, that food or my health and weight. I just throw it out the door. :-( Oh well today is another day and one I am going to make better choices on.

    Michele - you're doing awesome, I'm so proud of you for posting your goals everyday, even if you don't meet them everyday ;) I'm going to start doing this in June, as I desperately need to get back on track....maybe we can start holding each other accountable for our goals?!
