Optimistic About the Future

Today was a good one. I walked 2 miles with Leslie Sansone which has cardio and resistance components to it. For me that's a stretch so I can hardly get through the 2 miles, but I persevered and made it. This afternoon I did 2 miles on the treadmill so that was good to help burn a few more calories and hopefully some of it fat. We are still unpacking and getting settled from our Florida trip and I need to do some housecleaning tomorrow. Hope to break through this plateau tomorrow as well. I am still reading The Spark and learning not only about fitness but about goal setting for my life as well! It is perfect as I am exploring what I want to do next...not what I have to do. I am so grateful for you my fellow Sparkers so thanks once again for your support. It means a lot. Take care and I'll be talking with you tomorrow.

My First Blog Ever...

emoticon This has been a great Spark Day and I can honestly say I have put in the exercise I so badly need. I did Leslie Sansone's Cardio Blaster for 2 miles and I can honestly say I worked up a sweat. I think I will probably feel it tomorrow with the stretch bands for the arms that were included. Great component. This was a good workout for me as a beginner needing to tone up the old body. I followed up this evening with another half hour on the treadmill (my old standby.) I stayed at the low end of the calories recommended and that corresponded with some good advice from Karen. So this was a good day and I feel I am back on track. I know I have a long ways to go...but all we can really deal with is today and I'm satisfied that I achieved my goal today.

I am so grateful to have found this site and I am going to order the Spark Book to complete my goals for the day. Thank you everyone for being on this awesome site and offering the gift of sharing your hearts.
