Slow Day

WOW am I dragging today. Yesterday was so great and now today I am all behind schedule and don't feel like doing crap! I did finaly get in 10 minutes of cardio but nothing else yet. Will get it done sometime today! I was ready to go to sleep at 8:50 last night!!! Fought to stay up longer. Still bla this morning...but I did "start" so hoping that is all it is. I may not get 30 mins in today and that's OK. I will do the rest, do my MARCH challenge and eat all in all it will still be a good day!

    Keep your spirits up. There are always slow days that pop up, so let go of it and start fresh each day. Take each day as it comes, and be thankful for all the good that happened. Sometimes it might feel like a stretch, but it really works.

    HAng in there! Yesterday I felt just like you do today. Got a good nght's sleep and ROCKED the gym today! You have to listen to your body as long as it is your body and not the devilish naysayer holding you back!

    You can do this! Even if you get light cardio in, I sometimes find it helps. And I mean light, like slowest setting on treadmill just to get stretched out a bit! Hope you are feeling better and way to go for sticking to your plans!

M-A-R-C-H...what it's done for me!

I was planning on waiting until tomorrow to blog about this as it is a weekly requirement. I had thought I would talk about what I did and didn't do or the week. I couldn't wait anymore to discuss what I am getting from this challenge!!

One of my favorite teams....Determination and Accountability, had a new MARCH challenge. Now, I had not joined any team challenges in any of my groups before this one, so it was a first. Now Monday I had decided to get orking harder, so I thought this challenge would help me with those goals. Here is a quick explanation...
M=Motivate 2 group members
A=accountability by blogging once a week about what you did and didn't do
R=Rest, get at least 6 hours sleep
C= do 25 crunches a day
H= hydrate...get your 8 glasses a day

Now, since I have a back issue and can not do crunches, they allowed me to exchange for Supermans (which I am supposed to be doing for my back anyway, but had been slacking). So I thought that would help me get those in everyday. I have done great with the challenge so far and have meet the goals every day.

But I am writing because I have gotten so much more!!! I am findng myself motivating a ton of people (or trying to anyway) in ALL of my groups! I have seen that helping others is helping myself as well and I am feeling so much better about myself and my goals. I am also finding new friends on here...which we all know helps a ton. I am smiling everyday...not a norm for me!

I am getting so much more than expected from my first challenge and can't wait to complete it and move on to the next! What a great time in my life!!

    Yay! I know I love these team challenges, especially on D&A!!! They help motivate me to do more and be better! I so would not have started wall pushups or crunches without that extra push!

Good Day!

As I write this at 9pm I am smiling. This doesn't happen often by this time of night, but it has again been a good day. Not quite the bliss as when the girls were getting along, but still good! I have found that the crunches are just not possible, but have put in other things in place and am not hurting mearly as much!! That means I have worked out 3 days in a row!! Think this is the first time for doing that. I may have gotten 10 mins of cardio in, but not the strength and cardio and today even yoga! Now I need something new for yoga for awhile, as mine is way too much up and down for my back....but still got 10 minutes in!!

Do I Dare to Hope!?

I have had a pretty good day. Shelby and I didn't fight this morning, as we usually do. Teagan and her were joking and being nice to each other!! I am realizing how much they effect my moods and anger. I guess never having a sibling makes it hard for me to understand, but I don't get how they can be so mean to each other. Then to turn around and treat me like I am crap just gets to me. Of course we talk and talk and talk about it and it changes for a little while, but then a couple days later back to the same thing. Since it has been week since we had a 'talk' and they were super I dare to hope!! Maybe there has been a break through??? Wish me luck and we will see how the day ends!

    This is normal for this age group! They react blindly, acting out of frustration, etc. And, no, they don't really mean it.

This, too, will pass.

Try to keep an even keel, knowing its not you 90% of the time! Pick your battles, and stick to those principles they need to get along in the world, ie. pick up after yourself, do your share of the chores, etc.

My daughters are now older and they are the best of friends, and respect each other's different interests!

    Good luck! Speaking as the little sis, it won't end (unless you have raised two saints), even in our 30's my sis and I can still fight like we are 12. And we are good at it! But we still love each other and would kick anyone else's butt that dares to say something mean to the other one! But here is to less fights and less bickering!

Working through Soreness

Well, my back has been hurting since my workout last Monday. I have stretched out, taken my meds, nothing is helping. So instead of sitting on my butt again today, I have decided to change up my exercises today and get something in at least. Then instead of yoga being the last of 3 sessions, I am going to try to make it FIRST. Maybe that will help. I am tired of hurting and tired of not doing anything because of it.
