Gene and I took care of a couple of things for me today. Hearing aid batteries, watch batteries, and a new weapon and ammo. Oh, and a toner cartridge.

In addition to all these self-care goodies, we had a good and substantial breakfast!!

This is a good day.

Thanksgiving feast

WOW! I am so pleased. Within calorie range!! Had a great breakfast, a small snack, and a single plate of Thanksgiving food. Of course, I walked nearly 2 miles inside the house while cooking, cleaning, arranging, etc.

The family enjoyed three new recipies today, all of them more healthy than past recipes. I am well pleased!!

I am thankful for our home, our family (each and every one of them), my job, and my friends.

Onward and upward!!

Nice Wednesday

I got a good start today. However, things went awry at work. Something I asked for from a client will not occur. Not horrible news, nor particularly unexpected, but I did NOT like that.

So, I got online for a new minutes and found something to take my mind off the issue - SparkPeople!

I am not fully recovered from the disappointment, but I know that all will be well

Now, for something good for lunch!

Tuesday sightings

OK. First, I had my cereal and Milk!! A pleasurable sighting, that. Of course, no one was looking. Then, I walked a bit back and forth between work and the courthouse. Some sightings by others, and I enjoyed the sun while we had it

Then, for lunch, I ate what I brought yesterday. GOOD STUFF!!!! Just at 400 KCal for the meal.

Then, off to court for an interesting hearing. Several good sightings will occur. Work pals, acquaintances, and even a budding friend or two.

Then, for dinner - AAARRGH - no plans, I will think of something, though!

Then, off to CSCC to teach. I have such fun teaching!!

Good start.

Well, a good start. First. I HAD MILK for my cereal. Tra La!!!!! Very exciting. Then, off to work, and I had a good morning with my legal assistant. We accomplished a lot.

Then, for lunch, not so good. I brought my lunch, an then decided it can wait until tomorrow. I went OUT to Burger King. BAD BAD BAD. But, I am still within guidelines on everything I must watch, more carefully, what I have for dinner, but that will not be a problem. Never is.

Oh, well. Onward and upward!1

    Great job starting the day off right! You can make small changes to your eating out habits to make them more healthy or at least less calories. For example, I was getting the Baconator at Wendys (just ketchup which means no mayo). I then went down to the Son of Baconator. That saved quite a few calories but was still pretty darn high. I switched recently to the Junior Bacon Cheeseburger and it has much less calories. I am still always wanting my fries, but I think what I'll do next time is get a side salad (which is great) with no dressing or croutons and then just a small fries so that it's not as big of a damage like the large I normally get. So, just try something like that next time. Go down a size in burger OR get a smaller sized side. You are doing fantastic! Keep it up!

    Even at BK, you can make a better choice: a small burger, omit mayo, don't eat at least half of the bun, get small fries versus super-size, diet soda or water, salad, grilled chicken. You can track it and make allowances in other areas of your day. Keep on sparking!
