Milk was bad

Wednesday, December 12, 2012

OK, so, I opened the refrigerator this morning for my morning cereal/milk thing, and the milk was BAD!! I purchased it only two weeks ago. What gives? I almost thing someone put some of my beloved lemon juice in it.

So, back to square one: Actually Quaker Chewy bar.

So, I must do better for lunch: AHA! My peanut butter (crunchy) and raspberry jam sandwich on luscious toasted oat bread. YUM!!

Then, homemade chicken soup for dinner (with barley, shredded carrots, and peas).

Yesterday, I walked more than 10K steps, for the first time since the summer. Very cool.

Now, to be more regular and steady about that walking program!! HA!

I still fit in my suit today. I think I have a spark streak happening!

Oh, I hate when the milk goes bad unexpectedly! (and then other times it's fine a week past the expiration date, what gives with that?)

10K steps -- awesome!!

2 weeks is a long time to expect milk to be fresh.
Great on the 10 k steps!

two weeks seems like a long time to keep milk, especially once it's been opened.

Sorry about the milk. I'm thinking it's a soup kind of day at my house too as it has been raining all day. My son is supposed to have a soccer game later but I have a feeling it will be canceled. So I'm planning soup and turkey burgers. The ones made by Bubba's Burgers are really tasty!

Big Day

Monday, December 10, 2012

Today was the day that I met the new director over the tri-county Children Services agency. I really like her. I think we will get along very well. The meeting went on for more than an hour, but I consider it an investment in the long-term relationship.

Anyway, All is well today. I did not feel like eating much, so I did not do so. I am sure that I will make up for that over the next few days.

Sunday morning

Sunday, December 09, 2012

I think there is a song titled "Sunday Morning". Maybe not. Anyway, Sunday calls for music! As a pianist, I appreciate most music other than Opera.

But I cannot plan the piano here at the house. It is directly over my middle daughter's space in the basement, and her sleeping/studying hours need to be protected. And it is directly below my youngest daughter's room on the second floor. The same situation.

Oh, well. Off to church - perhaps one of the pianos there are available for use!

Find a way to enjoy playing the piano regularly.

emoticon Maybe on days when they are home you can listen to music on your mp3 or other personal device and play when they are at school. Piano playing is a lovely gift, don't give up on finding time to play!

Number 28

Saturday, December 08, 2012

Today is our 28th wedding anniversary. We celebrated by having breakfast at Cracker Barrel's, taking a drive down to an outlet mall to get me a pair of Bass Penny Loafers, and then on to a small town full of antique stores, and then lunch/dinner at Paupadeau's New Orleans. I managed to stay within calorie range, and enjoyed every bit of the day!
